  1. Lets start with the basics The banshee is a 350 The YFZ450 is a 450 The Banshee is a 2 stroke The YFZ450 is a 4 stroke E1=Comparison Engine (450) E2=Comparison Standard (350) S1=Stroke Cycles of First Engine (4) S2=Stroke Cycles of Second Engine (2) The formula: (E1/E2) x (S2/S1) = Overall excitement and fun You can also manipulate this equation algebraiclly, i.e., if you have your fun factor, and have the stroke cycles of 2 bikes, and the displacement of 1 bike, to find the approximate displacement of the second bike and so on. So, (450/350) x (2/4)=.643
  2. $530 shipped with a carrier if you pay by pay pal, I give a $15.00 discount for paying by money order though. Its bare btw. Personally I think a +6 is better for drag racing, and I can't say I've heard of someone trail riding on a +6.
  3. LOL fortunately we do get more shop phone calls that cell phone calls. Typically its only 1 of 3 people that can reach us on our cells, and they are the people that help us keep our doors open. Anyone else typically leaves a message at the shop and we call them back right when we can. Everyone is equally important, but some NEED that cell phone privalige. Because of that cell phone, me and my dad worked a 30+ hour day 2 mondays ago. From monday morning until tuesday afternoon we didnt leave. Just worked. It sucked ass until they said they needed the part no matter the price. Plus they took us to lunch this wednesday even after they got the bill for around 42+ shop-rate overtime hours between the 2 of us plus the 8 hours of shop time for just monday. Overtime didn't stop until tuesday at 1pm.
  4. I can go as short as -2.5....I think. I need to check my jig, but I know it will go -2, so a -1 would be just as easy.
  5. I'll go ahead and say it. I make a good swingarm. I make my own carriers and brake mounts as well. I make them out of 1 3/8 4130 chromoly tubing, all TIG welded by a Utah State Certified Welder and the carriers come loaded and ready to accept your axle. I also use a CNC mill to notch the tubing, not a hole saw. So the runners of the swingarm are EXACTLY the same. Plus I can make the swingarm in between and odd ball sizes. You want it 2.5 inches longer or 5.438 longer...doesn't matter much. All that is involved in switching to a honda style carrier is ordering your new swingarm, and throwing the stock piece of shit in the nearest dumpster. I have a +6 in stock right now. Everything else is going to be about 2-3 weeks depending on if you want it powder coated or chromed. Fabricating them as they are ordered actually helps me keep my costs where they are at. Stan
  6. I was gonna ask if t hose pipes could run a 500cc engine. I thought if you went super size on the bores you had to run a larger diameter pipe just to get the exhaust out of there... I'm no engine builder as you can tell. Just thinking is all.
  7. This place has everything.
  8. HI JIM! Cant imagine what its like tending that much for a business. I hope to get to around 10 employees one day. That would be a million dollar a year shop around here if I was lucky, and about 80% of that would go right back out the door. Maybe I'll make it 20 employees.
  9. Thats a pretty good point!Everything is either just fine or its blown up it seems. That is also a good reason to not let anyone take your bike. Only the rider knows what the engine has been subject to. I had a set of rings last about 4 years, 2 of those years were heavy/medium riding and the other 2 years was very little riding. I got a fresh top end now though.
  10. I think I even have one in stock. Just need to polish it if I do. PM me if you want to go that route and I'll knock off 10%
  11. I agree. Happy birthday everyone.
  12. The best phones I've ever owned have been Nokia. I currently have (not for much longer) a Kyocera Phantom through Verison. The ear piece has gotten so quiet I have to use a hands free to use my phone now, and every now and again the phone just freezes and or locks up. Won't turn off, won't do shit until I unplug the battery. Then it MIGHT turn back on. As soon as I find out if I qualify for a new phone through Verison (or I just go get another one at my cost) this one is going in the 50 ton press. I've had it.
  13. No video?!?! Good to hear you're ok though.
  14. On the rotor bolts, I think they have thread locker on them from the factory. I just put the small rose bud on my oxyacetylene torch, warm them up and they have always just backed right out.
  15. I agree. I long for the days when Wheaty was around more! One smart guy.
  16. Like the other said, don't chance it. Once there is a bend, the "long" side of the bend has been stretched, and the "short" side has been shrunk and/or compressed. Now you have an axle with 3 different metal hardnesses instead of one uniform hardness & temper. Just go get another axle. You'll wish you did if you end up wrecking because of it. There is no price someone isn't willing to pay when they are sitting in the hospital.
  17. All shipping lines go through that when they cross a boarder. Customs takes over on the packages n shit.
  18. I chromed mine. I figured someone would notice. Maybe not everyone, but I'm glad I got them done.
  19. Its seriously commendable to see someone just stand up and say no excuses, I messed up. Too many people these days are quick to blame something or someone else.
  20. GREAT! First thing on your agenda should be outlawing Michael Moore. Not what he does..just him. Make HIM illegal so we can ship him to North Korea or somewhere in Tibet then slam the fuckin door. This is off topic, but I got told by my wifes friend...in my OWN FUCKIN HOUSE last night that "Michael Moore is such a brave man! He speaks about things that others are afraid to" I got a bloody nose and had to leave the room.
  21. Doesn't everyone? I have white clapboard shutters on mine. Real oldschool.
