  1. Shit man. Just cause you pay a dealer 4x what it should cost DOES NOT mean its going to be done right. I've never heard more than about 3 good stories from people taking things to a dealer to get it done. What might be wrong with yours is what happens with mine from time to time. The shift shaft rides against the clutch case, and sometimes when that gets worn down the shaft can slip towards the inside. Mine will do it between 2nd and 3rd and thats all the gears that will work until I take the clutch side cover off, and wiggle the shift shaft as I push it to the left. You might just need a spacer, or someone to weld a little matierial on the case to keep the shift shaft in place. At least, this was was wrong with mine with similar symptoms.
  2. Thats the one!!!! How would it be to have one of those?
  3. Check for an air leak.
  4. Northern Utah. I feel like I'm constantly teetering on the edge of a midlife crisis. I know what the cure is, just don't know if I can afford it.
  5. I'm in love. Thats quite an engineering feat.
  6. Happy Birfday Justin!
  7. I couldn't find it to save my life right now...but I know I saw a site once, that offered triples, and QUAD cylinder Banshee engines! I can't find it now and I'm so pissed off. Can you imagine 4 of those going off?
  8. What kind of condition are the rotors in? I'd be really interested in just buying them just for the rotors if they're in good condition.
  9. Good idea. I think it would cut down on alot of the "which pipe is best" and the "who would win" posts. Start out by educating the new kids that if the rider sucks, all the "NOS" in the world isn't going to help. Oh, and put this picture on there.
  10. If you can get buy with a +6 I have a new one, only been mounted to check fitment, but its bare finish. If not, FINE Bump.
  11. Now, if you would have asked "Will a Banshee dipstick fit into a CBR600?" The answer would be yes. You just have to run a thicker o-ring because the Banshee dipstick oring is set into the head, and the CBR just sits on a flat surface. I think most of them use the same thread anyway being its metric. Probably a 16 or an 18. I don't really remember right now.
  12. $13,500 would get you into a Hayabusa+turbo. If I ever have exactly $13,500 you can bet where I'm spending it.
  13. I sell a bracket that mounts the bottle to the location WallRat mentioned. PM if you want a picture or anything.
  14. I think GRR does the triples too.
  15. IVE GOT 2 DELLS!!!!111
  16. I'm un prepared for St. P's day, so I'll have my wife kiss my Blarney stone and polish my shelalie.
  17. Well, thats because he's out riding, adding to the years of riding experience so he can tell future customers to kiss his ass.
  18. Back in my dads early machine shop days, he was working in a place where he saw a machinist do this very thing in an expensive manual lathe. The guy put the ground somewhere on the machine, and welded in a journal so he could machine it, and the current arc'd through the head bearings on the lathe. Trashed a perfectly good running lathe. It was such a big deal that my dad told me that story back when I was about 8 years old, and I've never forgotten it. Some bearings are not only expensive, but a pain in the ass to change out.
  19. They kicked you out of the machine shop yet?
  20. OH NO!!! Yer hung like an ant. And yes Hilarious....I do have some shit to get done.
  21. Imperial? Do Catholics have a Death Star? I'll keep that St. Peter thing in mind the next time I'm out and about. Or in Europe.
  22. 14 days? Thats kind of stupid. As long as the thing doesn't show signs of abuse, why not accept it (then inspect it) after 30 days or more? What I think is funny about this is I know Yamaha frames are made quick. Its obvious. But you'd think all of the frames would be close enough you could shim or tweak the nerfs enough to fit. Not have a 1" gap. They're jig welded and I'd assume they're welded with robots being its quicker, and a robot doesn't complain that much. I think if Loco's frame was "tweaked" enough to have a 1" gap, something would be wrong. Wrong enough he'd see his frame was fucked up. After I twisted my frame, I had 1" difference in peg height. I nose dived off of a 12-15 foot dune, and I counted how many times I heard it slam the ground. Total count including the first initial impact was 4. The frame was junk after that. I just don't see the frame being the fault here if his bike isn't trashed and/or his peg isn't tied in a knot.
