  1. I think the brand name is Aircraft Stripper. I've used it, and it didn't touch the paint on the head I was going to polish. What ever they paint the heads with is on there good.
  2. Dunno. It might be impossible with out disassembly. You don't want to get the shock body real hot being its a sealed system.
  3. Even if I'm a Sooners fan? http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showuser=9307
  4. I'd like to think that 4 out of 6 of my wives are pretty hot. The other 2 I just keep around to keep around. I will usually have those 2 hitch up the team of oxen to the wagon before we all head out to church.
  5. Who are you going to be buying parts from? It never hurts to ask if you don't know.
  6. Yes*. *If you cut the frame up. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=58576
  7. Walt does occasionally. He just moved to Vegas so I think he's kind of hit and miss, but he's around.
  8. The one and only time I even looked at a Banshee from a used car dealer was the time this dealer was having an off the lot sale. Me and my wife were walking past a Pontiac Aztec, and about the time I say to my wife "Is this a fuckin joke? Is this really for sale?" A sales man pops out of nowhere to tell me how great this hunk of shit thing is. Right beside it was a 97 Banshee. I ask him how much for the Banshee and he tells me $4000. I asked him if I could give him $2000 because it had been wheelied over, and probably had some frame damage/tweaks. He tells me "No it hasn't. Its in great shape." Then I pointed out the grab bar. It was bent at over a 45 degree angle. I told him it was supposed to be straight, and that the rear sub frame was twisted. He wouldn't budge on the price at all even after I pointed that shit out. Who knows what else was wrong with it.
  9. You have to have a way to SAFELY compress the spring. Then you can push the rubber stopper up the shaft a bit. Grab onto the portion of that shaft with a pair of channel locks/vise grips. Make sure its as close to that cad plated nut as you can get. It will bugger the shaft, but if its down low it won't damage the seals on your shocks. Then put a wrench on the shock mount some how. Just find a way. Thread it off. SAFELY decompress your spring. Done. When you put it all back together, be sure to dab a little red Loc-Tite on those threads. I've done this to 2 sets of shocks so far with no problems other than its a pain in the ass to get the spring compressed. Even with the nifty tool I made. Its safe, but it takes for fuckin ever.
  10. That wiring harness looks pretty custom to me. I also like the " whole shot tires" and the aftermarket plastic and design work. They sag like Maiers fenders, and its a sticker kit. Woo wee. I can't wait to read what Nyuk has to say about this. If anyone knows the value of a bike its that guy.
  11. To be honest it is a HUGE pain in the ass, but since its along the lines of what I do for a living, I actually enjoy the challenge. I plan on doing another one if I can ever get this one done and get a few things figured out about the design and fab process. So yes, a top end job would be about 5000x easier than putting a completely different engine in the frame.
  12. If for some strange reason he doesn't get the death penalty, I hope someone shanks the fuck outta him in jail.
  13. 76.462 lbs. If you take the dip stick out, it will drop it to 76.459 lbs.
  14. http://www.dunedevilinc.com/images/parts_g...ebsite_0031.jpg It doesn't show the brake mount, but they all kind of look the same anyway. Fully TIG welded by a certified welder and all that.
  15. Yes. Its brand new. If you want a picture I'll get you one.
  16. Its all in the fab work. You just have to get in there and do it. Start by measuring the engine and the frame to see what you have to cut away if anything to get it in there. As far as engine mounting, thats critical. Take your time and a buddy or two helps (I used a fork lift to hold the engine in the frame). As far as how hard it is.....it all depends. If my frame would have been a frame I bought from some one, I could have put the engine in it in 2 hours tops. Locogato got a CBR600RR engine in his Raptor frame pretty damn quick if I remember right. The frames are taller than a Banshee frame and when you don't have to cut or fab, it will go quick.
  17. I live about 80 miles away, but it still gets here on a monday if I order it on a saturday.
  18. When you say "one", one what? If you're looking for a piece of 5/16" stock cut to 5" and deburred, I'll check on what the material cost is, and just sell it to you at cost.
  19. I'd start by backing the adjusting screws all the way out, then throwing the whole mess away and buying a round house conversion. But if you don't want to go that route, just back the adjusting screws all the way out, then turn them in 1/2 turn at a time, going back and forth until your chain is adjusted.
  20. To use a brake light, just buy one of those line pressure switches from JEGS and plumb it inline with your foot brake, and do one for your hand brake as well. They aren't that expensive.
  21. $530 shipped with all bearings, brake mount, carrier etc. Ready to run.
  22. I don't sell a spanner wrench with mine, I just include a piece of 5/16" 4130 rod about 4-5 inches long. You shouldn't need a big wrench to adjust a carrier.
