i have more to worry about than perry does. for one he runs a real long swing arm, so i know all his weight isnt on the rear tires. also his tires arent all that great. they dont have too much tread to them. im gonna be runnin just a +2 with brand new fats trekkers. they bite like a motherfucker. ive always run 13/41 and taken out in 3rd and usually stay in 3rd the whole way. i dont really wanna have to shift it. im gonna be doing some testing with 13, 14 and 15 tooth sprockets this weekend.

thats the plan. they are supposed to be here thursday. ill have 2 days to get it tuned in right and try and figure out what kinda gearing to run. hopefully they really do get here thursday.

yea all three of my quads now use the same jets, i love it. they also all run about the same jetting. i think thats kinda strange. oh well, the less jets i have to buy the better. them bastards are expensive.. BD, jim never told me mine wouldnt idle. i think he said that with 34's it wouldnt idle and with 35's it would. thats why i went with 35's. it idles perfect tho. im still waitin on rocket pipes to do the final fine tuning. i dont wanna get it all runnin good with a set of toomeys when i know its gonna be different with rockets.

well they are totally different. the power actually comes on the same and neither have a whole lot of top end. they are both really torquey. the 500 will rip your arms off tho, the 450 isnt quite so bad. in a drag the 500 will stomp it out of the hole with the 450 comin back on top. the 500 isgeared really low.

your jetting is right on what mine is. i didnt know the 33 and 35 mm jetting would be so close. mine also starts first kick. jetting is a fuckin breeze, i love it. stock carbs can kiss my ass!

yea mine crackles a little, but i have t leave the 48's otherwise it wont idle. when im WOT it doesnt matter either, i just like to be able to leave it to warm up and shit. the engine def pulls hard, the top is crazy.

its not replacing, just joining. the cr500 is the reigning champion right now. we will see sunday how the new engine performs on a hill. before it was runnin 7.0's and the cr500 banshee was runnin 6.8's. surely with all this new shit itll be runnin at least 6.8's and hopefully faster. i really wanna drop down to 6.7's cuz it has never been done on a quad yet there. ill have videos to show my results

jim told me to start with a 48 pilot and 170 main. so just to be safe i threw in a 50 pilot and 172 main. it would not stay running at all. i had to keep on the throttle. so i said f*ck it and threw in a 65 pilot just to see what would happen. still no idle. threw in the 48 like jim said and bam, idles perfectly. i mean its perfect. ive done test runs and the 172 is a little rich, but ive got rockets on the way so they should lean it out some. right now its running real good on very bottom and on top, midrange is a little off. im not fully fine tuning it until the rockets get here. it still pulls real fuckin hard tho. you are runnin the pj34's right? ive heard they are hard to get to idle. these 35's idle perfect. no surging or anything. mine has seperate idle screws. they are little black screws down and right from the choke knob. maybe you should try the 48 if it wont lean you out too much, it might be part of your idling problem. just an idea. i hear ya about the work, luckily im the boss and decide our hours. 110 heat index here tomorrow, you can bet ill be home by 3 tinkering with the banshee.
