2200 for 4mm crank and porting stock cylinders???!!!! i would def go another route. i would go with cubs before id spend that amount of money on stock stuff..for 2200 bucks and doing your own work you can get the following.. cubs--950 or so crank--500 or so 33 or 35mm carbs--350 roughly.. thats still less than 2200..im not exactly sure what ur gettin for 2200 bucks...id call around..

ive heard more power down low with reeds on cylinder side and more peak hp on carb side...

i like my keihins a lot. i have never run mikunis except for stock banshee carbs. those were pretty easy to tune tho. id say either are great carbs, just takes someone knowing how to tune them.

id just do it urself. no need to pay someone ur hard earned money to do it. get you a hammer and chisel and some chainsaw blade files and ur set... jk, search around. many builders out there. call a bunch of them and go with whoever you are comfortable with.

i would just ask jeff what fuel youll need to run...its gonna depend on compression and timing..

hmm both me and my brother use the acorns nuts on ours...no issues at all. id say just take them off one at a time and put some yamabond or othersealer in them...

ifu have this guys info id file a complaint with the FBI...might as well get this asshole in some sort of trouble. if there are enough ppl who file complaints they might just do something about it..surely someone might live close enough to this guy to swing by his house. if u could find out for sure he lived there id toss a couple bricks thru his car and house windows. make him use some of that money he stole...take a knife to his tires as welll...theives deserve to be shot on sight...

i havent said shit about jim. i never even bring it up unless one of the passion followers gets all shitty for no reason. its a crime nowadays to say you wouldnt let someone build ur motor? hate to tell u but i bet there are more satisfied people on this site that have FAST motors than passion. there u go again with the "quantity" aspect. i still say the "quality" is the way to go. and jim def didnt bend over backwards to help me. if i recall right i think he recommended some needles or something..other than that i didnt get any help from him. i got the most help from people with his motors. and once again, i dont think it should take 6 months or a year to tune a fuckin motor.

yes they are pretty good friends. i went to the dyno with rick when he built my last 4mm motor and jeff came as well. this was before i really knew jeff, and even then he was nice as hell to me even tho i had a rick cairo motor..ricks motors are fuckin awesome. my bro is runnin my cairo setup now and is runnin damn near as fast as me at the hill and on the strip. cairo motors are no joke. he just doesnt build motors full time for everyone. if you dont know him or get hooked up with him thru someone who has one of his motors, its unlikely hell be doing a motor for u... i know rick cairo..read the above reply to 23champ...alsoi have been to jeffs shop 2 times. both times i had to pretty much force myself out the door cuz u could be there all day talking to him about diff setups and styles of riding... umm, not that im aware of....maybe a reason for this???? jeff, that do-it-yourself website is no fun is it??!! i cant wait to see it. if u need someone to help you get it going let me know. i have a friend i go to school with who runs websites and builds them...

FAST motors have won plenty around here. he had a pretty big writeup in some sand sports magazine when some guys with his motors won some races at LS...ive never heard of this grand national thing, but then again i dont follow up on passion's motors either.. oh and when i talked to jeff the other day, he said he had 25 motors from guys just on HQ..and he also named some off PS..im guessin he has maybe 35 motors at his shop right now? even at 4 hours a motor, you are lookin at possibly 3 weeks. hes got a pretty busy parts business going on as well. he told me hes been goin out after dinner and getting porting done when the phone is not ringin off the hook..apparantly hes doing something right

quality over quantity is a better saying in my book! also goes to show you who is a more popular builder if hes got a wait time like that???

well brad isnt very good at polishing so that ones out brad, u everthink about switching to a heim joint or anything? im sure you could do it with some sort of automotive heim that comes in chrome. how would u go about chroming the tie rod ends with the rubbers on them? do they come off?

i dont know about their chains but their sprockets kick ass! i personally use DID chains..never had an issue with one..

i prolly wouldnt gowith any bigger than a 14 but primary drive sprockets are like 7 bucks for the fronts so you can get both and see what u like best..for trails and such i doubt you will want more than a 14..

im just wondering, but since when do 2 strokes have headers?? i see..
