personally, i dont know what the big deal is about advertising their shop of choice.. i dont whine or cry if i see passion or HJR in someones signature. i dont care if they are brought up in a post where someone is looking for recommendations. so why should anyone be mad that Jeff's name gets thrown out there a lot? its not like the guy is ripping people off and still continues to get business. the thing about most of Jeff's customers is that they know Jeff on a personal level and thats why they come to his defense so quickly.. i am even guilty of that. i think the term nutswinger is fuckin ridiculous really. just because someone supports their builder and shows that in their signature or in a post does not mean they are nutswinging. they are just showing appreciation for someone who has done them right. lets look at these examples.. so anyone who wears a sports jersey and cheers their team on could be labeled a nutswinger right? how about someone who buys and wears a pair of jordans to play basketball in and tells everyone they are awesome shoes? how about someone who buys a dodge and tells all their buddies its the best truck theyve ever driven? why should guys who say Jeff is an awesome builder be treated any differently than any of the above examples? the big difference and my justification for guys saying what they do about Jeff is that when you call FAST, you get Jeff.. thats personal. when you buy jordans, you dont call MJ and say, "what up MJ, i need some shoes." see my point here? you dont go around calling them all nutswingers, so i think the term being thrown around on this site for supporters of an individual known on a personal level is stupid. youre a fucking retard and your opinion holds no weight on this website. i will PM you when you are allowed to post again. ahh i see. i didnt know that.. or maybe i did.. shit i dont know! you making a career out of it?

no, its not. not in the least bit, especially if you just buy the bracket. benefit is that it looks cleaner, and centralizes all your electrical shit. why is it any harder? so what if you had to move a piece of plactic. i didnt solder anything on mine. i used heat shrink, but i didnt take any classes on it. no skill involved. BS. hoses and cables are right in the engine bay.. what does that have to do with the harness anyway? so its a pain without or with the expensive crimping stuff?? so doing it any other way than with the crimper is wrong? you sure are telling A LOT of people they are wrong. thats the point, you dont want it to look stock. my harness does not look stock. if i wanted a stock look, i wouldve left it alone. my shit looks pretty clean, i dont think you can argue that. waterproof? ive washed my shit with a pressure washer several times and its always started right back up.. must be a miracle!! no its really not. we spend hours upon hours working on these bikes, but cleaning up the harness and moving the electrical stuff is not worth the time and hassle?? BS. and i know many others will agree. you sound like a broken record. not at all.. i can get to mine with my plastic on.. and i can reach everything! lions, tigers and bears OH MY!! bullshit again!! ive been on 3 dune trips with this setup. never an issue. i have quick disconnects.. see all those plugs!! are you blind?? never had a water issue either.. ok, i can go on forever.. this is just some of the shit i found quickly.. are you saying you didnt say these things?? pretty clear and simple to me.. everything you said is complete BULLSHIT!

bump for a sweet bike man... -
blah blah blah. youve said that it causes problems, is a pain, cant be done correctly with out a special crimp tool.. thats evident from your own quoted posts. i say youre wrong. end of story.
-
cody, my harness is like 18" long. pretty simple to do with the clymers. like i told the other guy, if you need any help hollar at me and ill go through it with you since youre not a GM certified tech.

i added a plug for the kill switch. i never soldered anything. i ONLY used heat shrink tube and electrical tape. i changed NO wiring. i only shortened wires and added the kill switch plug, which i just spliced in. the plug i used for the kill switch plug might have had a different color wire. big deal. its not like the banshee wiring harness is so complicated that someone cant figure it out. you still dont need an expensive crimper to do that.. i dont need to prove you wrong. you are wrong by saying that relocating is worthless and causes problems and that it can only be done correctly by using a 100 dollar crimp tool. i didnt put any words in your mouth. you made broad, blanket statements about things. i called you out on it. but since youre a certified GM tech i guess your know all about electrical systems trumps my tiny knowledge about the very intricate and complicated banshee wiring harness.

care to elaborate on these "problems" created by relocating everything. my stuff has been relocated for 3 years now and ive never had an issue. and i bet there are a hundred more guys on the site who have relocated with no issues. so, i dont know what "problems" could arise from doing this. of course you do. when in reality they are not "problems" but creative differences. that ring is fine. i cleaned it off before install. no issues. i didnt add anything. i shortened the harness up and used shrink tube when i put the wires back together. i NEVER used a crimper for anything on this project. so you consider these "problems?" i didnt change out the ring and thats a problem? and the second one is just made up considering i didnt add anything. if youre shortening the harness why would you need to add anything? ridiculous. youre reaching. i agree, the grounds need to be good and some people overlook it. i cleaned up my terminal and ground off the PC where i mounted it at. i dont think adding another ground is really necessary but if it makes you feel better then by all means go ahead.

need some help finding this
locogato11283 replied to messer007's topic in General Banshee Discussion
cant be too hard to find, as a lot of the drag guys run shit like that.. im sure one of them will know where to get one. i would think a local hardware store would have a tire/wheel assembly with a hub built in.. -
are you the fuzz??

yamaha to honda rear wheel hub
locogato11283 replied to killshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
im pretty sure someone does actually.. just not sure who. most people just stick with the stock pattern and run the right wheels. but since you insist on running those honda wheels, youll have to do some research! someone will know.. its only monday, give them time. haha. -
always allow for about another grand on a drag bike. there will be shit you for got or just wanna add cuz its blingin.

well then id say its in the adjustment down in the clutch, when you installed the lockup and im assuming a pancake bearing? the adjuster probably didnt go back in exactly as it came out. i think you can just adjust your cable up top and be fine. or if thats not enough, pull your cover off your lockup and readjust down below.
-
well you didnt do this guy any favors and he sure wasnt going to ask you for help on this project. so i stepped up and let him know id help him if he needed it. its not always about waiting for someone to PM you. sometimes guys dont want to impose or bother another member about something. i recognize this and will often times let them know that i am here to help if they need it. and another thing, i used no expensive crimp tool and still used all the stock connectors, or did you purposely not look at my harness picture? it can be unhooked in about 2 seconds. i even used a couple stock connectors to hook up my kill switch so even it can be disconnected.. wait, what??!! you mean i used all stock connectors and no crimp tool! i must be magic!!! yep, these look like stock connectors to me..

i would suggest some dune/woods porting. itll give you a good bottom end, but youll also be able to pull taller gearing if you want. pipes: toomey t5 reeds: v force head: NOSS head, but stock will also work carbs: stock will be fine timing: gonna have to stay stock unless you wanna run higher octane fuel sprockets: depends on terrain, rider weight, mods, tires... builder: FAST!!!

yes, that is the preferred method. spacer plate setups are junk. you going to have motor work done?

you mean your kicker wont flip out? id say your ball is toast in there. you might have broken it causing the kicker to jam up. gonna have to take the kicker off and put a new spring and ball in there. -
