  1. ill do a compression test this weekend and tell ya
  2. sorry i didnt word that very well..what i meant say is the kick starter hard like it takes a lot of effort to kick it down.. does it feel like its grabbing
  3. when you say its hard to kick start...is the kickstarter loose...or is it really tight??....and i would try takin the carbs off and cleaning them out real good that always helps things
  4. i will do a compression test this weekend and tell you guys what its at
  5. i had the same bogging out problem you are describing....check the emergency break and make sure it is plugged in all the way.. if its undone.. the bike will only get up to 3000 rpms
  6. i got a 99 banshee fmf fattys with powercore II silencers, bord .65 over ported and polished...boyensen reeds, about 15 hours on fresh top end. weisco pistons... well anyway it takes a while to get my banshee started... i replaced the coil and boots. new plugs... it takes 5 or so minutes to start sometimes less... it will start and die start and die and finally it will roar to life and run great the rest of the day... but if i spray some starting fluid down the carbs it stars right up and runs fine... i dont know my jet sizes i will take the carbs off this weekend and update everyone... any help is greatly appreciated
  7. oh and how do i put a picture of my 4wheeler on the bottom like some people have...if you click on my profile on here u can see it... small picture tho
  8. i have a 99 banshee with fmf fattys, powercore 2 sliencers, ported and polished, bord .65 over, jetted (cant remeber what size...will look this weekend) boyensen reeds...when im trying to start it i got the choke all the way out and it takes about 5 minutes to start... once i get there it will start and run then stop for a little bit and then finally she roars to life... if i spray some starting fluid down the carbs fires right up and runs great...im thinking this could be a problem with my jetting... i put a brand new coil and boots on it in the winter...new plugs...i had MIDWEST MOTORSPORTS bore and hone my cylinders and i called them and they said it shouldnt have to be re-jetted but im starting to think it may need new jets...it has done this since the rebuild but it runs great just a pain in the ass to start....any help would be greatly appreciated
  9. yea im gonna take the bike up 2 a local shop and do a compression test and see what they say may be wrong... i agree its not getting any combustion on that one side which doenst sound like a very cheap fix, but i could be wrong it may be something minor, yea they are stock carbs, has a little work done to it, bored out a little, fmf fatty pipes, nice bike when its running right pretty quick i Thanks for all of the help i greatly appreciate it keep it coming lol
  10. its got a pretty good flow of fuel on that side... but its almost like its not igniting on that one side , its running but its not blowing out any hot air or smoke
  11. alright man thats a good idea ill look into that, ill try to put a picture up here it looks pretty sweet
  12. yea i probably will pull it out b4 i take it up to a shop, and im sure they are cleaned because i rebuilt them got all new inside parts and shit like that so i dont think that they are clogged and dirty, the left side that doenst work right blows about the same out of the pipe as the right side that does work, ive never seen anything like it lol
  13. if it is the cylinder.... how much would u guess it would cost to get fixed??
  14. yea im going to go get it checked on wednesday, and i switched out the wires and everything and it did the same thing and yea i let it warm up
  15. yea but it had been sitting for about 7 months b4 i did this, im thinking about going to get the compression checked on wednesday and see what they say
