there is only 2. one on the clutch side crank bearing and the other goes on the rear tranny gears on the sprocket side i believe..

you need to talk to jeff about your timing and compression. youre probably gonna be borderline running pump/race fuel.. you might as well go ahead and bump up the compression to gain that extra power down low.. i would stick with a 14 tooth front if possible. you should be good on beating the 450's unless its loose dirt where they will shit and git while youre still spinning the tires.

bought this off ebay.. hasnt gotten to my house yet. its tight.

banshee based frame and banshee motor.. when you swap out the banshee motor for something else, its no longer a banshee.. a banshee motor in a yfz450 frame is not a banshee..

whether it be fast, passion or anyone else, i dont know why its considered nuthugging to put their name out there? why is it nuthugging to support your builder? i just dont get it. i also dont understand why it irritates people so much that others represents their builders by putting things in their signatures.. i dont do it, but have no issue with others doing it. sure its the same thing.. some fans are CRAZY about their teams.. get in fist fights over their teams.. sport team flags from their antennas. wear jerseys. have cups and plates with their team logos.. swear up and down their team will be the champ! how is that any different than someone wearing a shirt from their builder, or sporting a sticker somewhere? i really fail to see any type of difference. whether it be sports, vehicles, dog food... its just what that person likes, represents and supports.. thats not nuthugging.. you cant compare those builders to the ones on this site. which of those builders frequents here? i on occasion hear someone mentioning those guys.. they are not site sponsors and arent really on a personal level with their customers like jeff, jim and kevin are here.. hell my motor was built by redline.. cameron is an awesome dude. ive told people that before, but someone like him doesnt get the recognition here because hes not around like the regulars.. i agree with you, the whole thing is pretty stupid. to be honest, i dont see it as big of a rivalry as it used to be.. you just have guys supporting their builder. which im cool with.. anyway, my builder is better than your builder!! :biggrin:

i ran a lectron on my cr500 banshee a long time ago. everyone was talking them up back then so i thought, fuck it why not.. i got it and ran it from k&t. they said it should damn near be spot on for what i needed. well it wasnt. the guys runnin the lectrons i hillclimbed with on their cr500's ran a totally different needle.. soo, i spent the money and bought two more needles for that carb. i got it running pretty decent but not perfect, with one of the needles. i jacked around with it for a long time and never got it running just right. i had called k&t, which were really no help to me since they had set the carb up with what they thought was right. i also checked my shit to some of the guys i knew running them.. still didnt run perfect. i actually had the stock carb for that motor which was a 39mm pwk.. decided to slap it on one day and see how it worked. after about 30 mins of tuning it i had it running better than it ever had with that lectron.. who knows? the other thing i didnt like about the lectron was the quality of that thing. shitty flat head screws on it. fuckin thing was junk. i had stripped a couple of them on the carb top.. for that kind of money i expected a hell of a lot more. i washed my hands of the lectrons after that.. i assume mine came from the same place packard and FBG get them so i dont know why theyd be any different. oh well..

are you sure your setup is right? 460 mains and 35 pilots?? something doesnt seem right. are you sure you dont have an airleak? those are HUGE jets for what youre saying you have. in fact ive never heard of anyone running any more than about a 400 main and 30 pilot. i think something is wrong with your setup.

when most people upgrade carbs its to the keihin pwk's. they are by far the easiest to tune. so many people have them on such a wide variety of motors that usually someone can recommend jetting that will be damn near perfect. stock carbs are good carbs, but as far as mikunis go, stock carbs are the end of the line for me.
