now, THAT is fucking brilliant.. i like it.. please send all reports to NYUK!! you know, its funny that you posted this shit because here lately we have been getting a lot of moderator alerts. i dont get them, but RIPPEN has notified me of them. must be cause im admin that i dont get them. apparently, someone doesnt like Chase's signature picture because of the 'nudity' in it.. what they dont like the bottom of some girls titty? also, someone alerted a mod about a post i made in a thread about using jb weld to put his crank back together.. now come on.. really? to be perfectly honest i dont pay one bit of attention to those stupid fucking alerts.. so dont bother sending them people!! i feel like if someone has a REAL problem they can PM me or one of the mods and state their case. this is not a fucking knitting forum and we sure as fuck arent gonna start worrying about peoples feelings in here. but anyway, thought id get that out!

hahaha i was about to quote his post and say the same thing.. i agree about getting rid of the spacer plate. that is a ghetto way to do the 4mm motor. do it right and have your cylinders ported correctly and run stroker domes.
-
i have no key switch, light switch or factory kill switch.. i wired in a pro design kill switch to my coil. thats the only way to shut off my bike.
-
do you have stroker domes instead of regular domes? if so than thats the problem. most GOOD 4mm setups dont use the spacer plate. in your case since you used your cylinders with existing porting and a spacer plate, you should NOT be using stroker domes. you need regular domes. i bet thats your problem. if you decide to ditch the spacer plate, you will have to have your cylinders reported or buy new ones. then you will need to use stroker domes, which is the preferred method by most everyone.

youllbe fine as long as your air filter stays secure and sealed well.. and i agree about the water. i wouldnt try muddin with it or anything.

What style of chain is the best?
locogato11283 replied to bahlduzzi's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
its not gonna matter for you. to the serious dragger who only drags their bike it does. just order some chain lube when you order your chain. id just call FASTOYS up there and let Jeff set you up. -
yep check it out and see which part is worn. you can usually pick up sprocket hubs and axles pretty cheap.

difference between single and Vtwin?
locogato11283 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
so you think that the ds650 and banshee have similar power curves?? youre kidding right? and you think that the blaster, yfz450 and raptor have similar power curves?? please. you need to stick to doing something besides giving out terrible info on here. HQ doesnt need fools like you runnin around giving out shitty information, especially when a lot of guys new to the banshee read these forums. from now on, research before you respond. -
difference between single and Vtwin?
locogato11283 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
you have no idea what youre talking about.. in this post you say that i cant compare engines that are comparable, yet in your first post you say this.. now in this post, you talk about 2 and 4 strokes. you also lump the blaster, yfz450 and raptor in the same category. then you go onto to lump the banshee and ds650 in the same category? are you out of your fucking mind? you couldnt have picked a more diverse group of bikes to make your shitty comparison.. lets just break it down a little bit.. blaster - single cylinder 2 stroke yfz450 - single sylinder 4 stroke DOHC raptor - single cylinder 4 stroke SOHC banshee - twin cylinder 2 stroke ds650 - single cylinder 4 stroke DOHC the problem here is that you have no idea what youre talking about. why would you even give these examples to later come back and say, "you have to compare 2 engines that are the same." then you go and throw some stupid line in about their weight/power ratio... i thought we were comparing power curves, in which case weight/power ratio doesnt even apply? you can stick to your previous post, but you and everyone else knows its dog shit. -
ive heard of guys breaking piston skirts off after doing that shit. its not worth it.
-
do you have the retainer clip behind it? if so, even if it gets a little loose it shouldnt be coming off.

difference between single and Vtwin?
locogato11283 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
this whole post is ridiculous. because the twins are balances it gives them more mid-bottom end? bullshit. where did you come up with this? banshees have little if any mid-bottom end. single cylinders either scream or have more bottom end but have a narrower powerband? once again thats bullshit. single cylinder motors such as the cr250, cr500 and all the 4 stroke singles have a much more broad powerband than the banshee. they begin making power at very low RPM's and pull until they reach the high R's. your info is very flawed and im not sure how you came to the conclusions you arrived at. you need to research before you spout off info that is incorrect and just plain doesnt make any sense. -
do you mean slop front to back or side to side? tightening the axle down so tight it will not move is not good. it will also not help front to back movement of the sprocket. once you get on your bike and ride, itll start moving again..
-
i agree to an extent. i get mine snug, and then use the washer to keep it from coming off. hand tight is a little loose for me, so i snug it just a little bit.
-
im sure it can be wired up to work. kill switches are usually grounded on one side and the other wire goes to the orange wire on the coil.

i dont like stock tierods for that very reason. i used to break the shit out of tie rod ends due to not enough thread being in the tie rod. i had a local machine shop made me some tie rods that were longer and beefier than stock. never had a problem since then. it wasnt very much money either. i didnt feel very comfortable running at high speeds over rough shit knowing that i only had a few threads of my tie rod end in the tie rod.

kill switch for a drag bike
locogato11283 replied to joee20002's topic in General Banshee Discussion
fuck you guys!!! -
yea, after i bent those 2 i started building my own. i built a jig and build one every now and then. im currently out of parts for them.. but i would def recommend some type of gusseting. it doesnt take much to bend them.
-
if the threads on the shaft are trash then he might as well. at least he will quit losing nuts until he can tear the motor apart.. MJ, i simply tighten mine with a 1/2 socket wrench and the right size socket. sometimes i have to pull mine in a hurry at hillclimbs to adjust gear sizes. ive had the same nut since ive had my 10mm motor.. which is about 4 years now. i think you need to swap out the shaft and get the right tools and you wont have the problem anymore.

Rear tires for traction in all conditions
locogato11283 replied to hotrodbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
no need to call names ass spelunker! i agree. razrs are heavy as fuck and wear very quickly on the road. i dont think they bite that hard either. ive had regular razrs and i razrs. i was not impressed with either. thanks buddy. now i believe you have a banshee.. -
not sure where you got your info, but the front sprocket nut is absolutely not made of aluminum. if you have one that is made of aluminum, its not the right part.
-
if you decide to keep that +6 i would consider having some gussets put on the bottom of it. ive bent two +6 chromoly swingarms before. then i decided to build my own and add gussets..
-
prolly could if there were any black people there.
