  1. a few years back i did a honda cbr600rr raptor build. its a TON of work. it took me a couple months working on it at least a little almost every day. it also costs a lot of money to do it right. unless youre very knowledgeable with a torch, plasma cutter, welder, drills, and fabbing parts, i suggest staying far away from it. the motor will fit with some frame mods. dont expect it to just drop in there. chances are youll end up cutting part of the frame out also.
  2. well, i hate to say it but he is wrong. you need a 27.5 in there. its not getting enough gas on the low end.
  3. pilot will be 27.5. id prolly start with a 320 main and work down from there. needle in the middle and air screws .5 to 2 turns out depending on throttle response. if you dont ride in the water i say drill some holes or lose the lid totally.
  4. i would start with a 48 pilot and 162 main. needle in the middle. air screw .5 to 2 turns out. you will probably have to lean down from there considering your temps are so high, but this will be a safe starting point. get it idling well first. then do a WOT plug check and see if the mains are close. white = lean, black = rich and tan = right on.. then once you set all that, you can set your air screw to get your throttle response spot on.
  5. if they are anything like keihins then they will prolly stay about the same.
  6. sweet man, looks good.
  7. yes its possible. have you ever pulled your carbs and cleaned them thoroughly? that would be a good start. make sure there is no dirt in there causing the issue. also, how old is your throttle cable? it could be hanging up causing the issue.
  8. what is your pilot set at? you need to have a 27.5 in there. i would make sure your carbs are synced first.. have you pulled the jets to make sure they are clean?
  9. i run these on my 450. they are some pretty nice nerf bars. stainless steel foot peg lasts forever. not sure about the netting though.
  10. ah ok. yea, they are a couple of good dudes. marty is a ridin mofo and his bike was fast as hell.. damn, going big huh! that should be making some pretty good power. you planning on hittin nationals in ohio this year? shouldnt be too far of a drive for you. check out this gearing chart. you will be able to figure out what gearing to run with either 20 or 22" tires. http://home.earthlink.net/~gellett/banshee.htm i doubt the cut knarlys would work too well on the coal hills, but there are some dirt tires out there that will work that arent nearly as heavy as those realtors. i havent been there myself, but i have seen people run those hills with regular dirt tires and have talked to people that run regular tires as well.
  11. up for my homie..
  12. just FYI to anyone interested.. i rode this bike on sunday and its a hard running motor. it pulls hard from the bottom and revs out a long ways. its got power for days. its a ready to drop in and run motor for sure.
  13. there is no real good reason to run an 18" tire. you can gear a 20" tire to work in the same way that you can gear an 18" tire to work. the 20" tires will hook better and provide you with more tire options. anyway, whats up man? i met you at nationals didnt i?
  14. here ya go homie.. http://farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=39
  15. you heard what negative about magnum baskets? i can think of tons of people on HQ that run them, myself included. ive had the same one for over 4 years in a 10mm cub and it shows little to no signs of wear. the magnums are bullet proof and are probably the same exact basket as a hinson, without the expensive name.
  16. metal will transfer the shock from the chain into the cases. the chain is also a lot more likely to ball up with the metal causing more damage. the plastic ones will absorb more impact from the chain. the plastic is also more slick, which will make the chain slide on through instead of ball up like the metal ones.
  17. you have pics of these "new" ones. i also tried out a set of new design rockets a couple years ago.. they were painted black. just a test set.. ill see if i can find some pics..
  18. hell yea man! lookin good.. whats up with your front plastic? i can see they are fullbores, but how did you get the carbon fiber look?
  19. damn, M10 really? i was way off. i thought for sure it was bigger than that..
  20. i believe thats an M12 1.5 pitch..
  21. gotta have 5 posts i believe.. try to make them intelligent.
  22. ive used all kinds of intakes. boss, upp etc.. ive never had a clutch arm issue. it can always be bent down a little bit to clear if need be.
  23. unless you put those tires on different rims, those black wheels are not steel.
  24. buddy just got a good deal on some full flight arms. they come with stupid ass heims that require reaming the spindle. hed rather buy ball joints. anyone know of anywhere to get some 3/4"x16 ball joints that dont require any reaming?
  25. good lookin bike. doesnt look familiar to me.
