  1. I ran K&N clamp-ons for a few years & was constantly cleaning them & wearing holes in the outerwears, after tie-downing them so they wouldn't melt on the stinger tubes. Bdbanshee has a good clamp-on setup that moves the filters back a bit. I got tired of dick'n with them & got a toomey 2:1 and will never use anything else. I've never had problems with it coming off & cleaning is a synch, and I'm using the same outerwear still that came with it. I would highly recommend the toomey 2:1 setup. But depending on your riding conditions, an in-airbox setup may work out better. I know a lot of people talk highly about the pro-flow setups, but I have no experience with them myself.

  3. Post some wanted adds & browse classifieds. I was able to find one from my nephew on here actually & got a damn good deal... Thanks again westexgt! It's now equipped with an fmf silencer & some other misc goodies...at 3yrs old, I can't tell ya how much that quad means to that little guy & I got a new ride'n buddy.
  4. Really I adjust mind according to sand conditions. The softer, the less pressure, the more packed/wet..the more pressure.

  6. You'd be just fine, no need to re-jet. I've always mixed mine 40:1 & I'm still running the stock '97 pistons & cyl's.

  8. Unhook the tors box. Look on the left side of the tank, toward the front of the tank & you'll see a little box there with a connector on it, disconnect that connector & try it.
  9. I wouldn't do that myself. On a stock clutch, 10w30 motor oil will work just fine. Aftermarket, don't use motor oil. I'm currently running 80w BelRay Gear Saver; no complaints & smoother shifts.

  12. I'm running 280's - stock needle with a toomey 2:1 & PC's. Depending on your temp & elevation, you could be right on.? But like BigBoyBanshee said...Boring won't require any jetting changes....nor will you feel massive power gains.
  13. I'd pull your clutch cover back off, you may have broken a finger off your clutch basket...happened to me before & that's why I say that. Take a look & let us know what you find.
