  1. Have you ever lubed the throttle cable? Lubed the pulley where the throttle attaches? Just a couple suggestions...
  2. I got the banshee running the weekend before last. Had to put in a new stator....RS on an adjustable plate, advanced the timing +4. Shee's running better than ever! I also got the EX running last night, was having issues with the jetting but I got it dialed in....only about a 9hr process total. But it's running damn good. I was amazed at the power difference after installing the full WB exhaust on it. Was like piping a shee...night/day. Awesome, I'll have to take it out some when we go down just for chits...it's a nice quad anyhow. As of the time I'm entering this post, there's 1 day, 14hrs, 3mins, and 2 seconds until I'm going to the dunes!

  4. Best input I could give, is don't put around in higher gears, keep the RPM's up, but not pegged out. Change the oil on a regular basis, make sure your oil/gas ratio is good, keep an eye on your jetting after mods & elevation and temp. changes.
  5. We all forgot to mention removing the stock spark arrestors/baffles--there's a good 5hp right there!

  8. I'm about 5-6hrs away. I grew up living in Beaver, by Table Rock Lake...just north of Eureka Springs. Man, do I miss that place...was nice having our own cove & skis to hop on whenever we wanted.
  9. Me too!!!! I'm stoked! At least my banshee is scream'n...I can't get my 400ex jetted right with the full WB exhaust. Lets do that though...there will be some EX'rs there too, including my roomate zephead400ex. See ya all Friday at noon! & Saturday for those that can't make it Friday!!

  12. Hey '89sheedude... remove the ".orig.jpg" off the location of your pic & then they should be viewable.
  13. Dunno man, lack of oil maybe. I'd drain the oil & see if there's any metal shavings or anything in it. Keep checking back, I'm sure someone with more tranny knowledge will be able to help you out. I've not heard of that happening before, so I dunno. What oil are you running? Could be a clutch issue...

  15. The more I try to comprehend that post the more my head hurts. haha But yeah,...if the frame bent from the grab bar hitting the ground, chances are, depending on the terrain there will be some sign of where on it.

  17. Check out the jetting & exhaust section, do a search...you'll find all the info you need. There is not one 'best' pipe. It depends on your shee, your style, and what you prefer.

  19. If you got it still & have the oring, just put it back on & the screws that hold it on are replaced by the 3 longer allen head bolts that hold on your case saver. Check out this link, http://216.37.204.206/wps/Yamaha_OEM/Yamah...p?Type=12&A=118 you have to search for your year of shee, then it's under "Electrical 1" (don't ask me why...) ... 20 NEUTRAL SWITCH ASSY 1 $14.58 21 O-RING 1 $2.42 ... Couldn't find the part numbers, but hope that helps ya.
  20. Mine tends to not want to stay pulled all the way out. It will pull out to the 1st notch, but won't stay on the 2nd unless I hold it. Good thing I seldom need the choke!
  21. Sounds like I'm going to be in the north camp, probably the cowboy campground. Another friend of min is coming along, will have a 16' enclosed & a baige F250, blue shee & a prairie. I'll try to remember to bring a Zeppelin flag of some sort to put up. I'm pumped...if I could only get that damn EX running right, I HATE WORKING ON 4 STROKES!

  23. Yepper, sounds like a jetting issue. Possibly a stator...backfiring, but with it not going past mid throttle without dying it sounds like you may need to adjust the mains.
