I don't give a chit if they legalize it or not myself. It's going to be around either way & it's just going to cost more if it's legalized. Not sure if this is exactly what you're referring to but myself & others have had some problems with their gears getting bound up. The shift shaft has some play in it that allows the part that grabs the shift star to pop out & bind up between a couple pegs on the star, leaving you with only 2 gears. Well after un-binding it, you can pull the shifter off & put a rubber washer(to keep from grindage into the stator cover), then a couple regular washers on the shaft, then put the shifter back on. Theoretically to eliminate the left-to-right play of the shift shaft that allows it to bind up. Hope this make sense & clears that up for ya. I couldn't help ya on the cut gears--no experience myself but I can say I've heard no complaints from those who have it done...like the neutral back cut... RZ forks would be nice...but as you said, pretty hard to come by.

Sounds good Dunedemon, I haven't had any problems yet...but I also haven't had to scrub on them a whole lot. Does scuff a bit, but nothing I've not been able to buff out. Next time I'll try your steel wool & glass cleaner gig.
