  1. I hate slumping in my chair. I am guilty of it every damned day. lol And yes Stan, I cut off my right index and middle fingers. not the whole thing(s), but from the first knuckle. They reattached them, however, they don't work as good as the used too....
  2. correct you a lil???? You need to stop blabbering nonsense. 15hp per cyl??? WTF is that? Basically two blaster motors? Well, if you want to start talking like that, than I guess the banshee is "basically" two chainsaw motors, except we have reeds... LMMFAO... You have got to be kidding me....
  3. Is the taper the same on the ball joints?
  4. When you unplugged the TORS did you also unplug the brain box next to the coil under the tank? This has to be done. If you have fuel, spark, compression, and the proper timing, it has to fire. What is the compression of this motor? Something is not right. Are you absolutely positive you have everything together correctly?
  5. No.
  6. I am not sure.
  7. Right HERE
  8. You got some bad information. High octane does not burn cooler. High octane fuel resists detonation in higher compression engines. You need this, because as the fuel is being compressed, a lower grade fuel will ignite before it is suposed to. This will affect the combustion when the plug finally does fire, and you will get differing shock waves in the chamber, and you will hear what is called spark knock. It is not good. if you don't have the compression, don't run high octane fuel.
  9. "H" rated tires are for like up to 80 MPH. Anyways, first thigns first, is this a TPI car? Or a TBI??? If it is TPI, go HERE and find what you can have in your price range.
  10. Bummer. You will spend the next year figuring out how to get another one....
  11. Hope everything went well.
  12. A guy I work with wears a brace 24/7, works part time, is on disability, is in constant pain. He used to be in demolition, and got hit in the back by a railroad tie that was swinging off the end of the crane. He also once got hit in the mouth by a railroad spike, and busted up his entire mouth. Anyways, he had a botched surgery, and is all f'ed up. I myself, have slight back problems that get worse over time. Lower back stiffens up. Snowmobile accident gave me that one. When I hit the ground, by boots flew off, and were found about 30 yards away. I hit pretty hard, and busted some shit up. I would think for ya Meat, it's the arthritis setting in. My fingers are the same wat. (I cut them off in a vertical mill when I was 18) and now, they hurt in a ridiculous fashion, and get cold extremely easily.....
  13. I have my stock head right now, shaved, and I love it. But, once I get my Stroker motor built, I will be switching to a Noss head. It will just be far easier to get the domes cut with an aftermarket head vs. stock. For the money, shaving your stock head can't be beat. it simply can't.
  14. Starting fluid would be a bad idea. It immediately washes the oil off the parts that need the oil. But, you are trading it in, so, I guess you could try it. I am thinking your carbs may be gumed up. What oil do you use? Like meat said, fuel delivery could be a problem. I would not stop at draining the carbs. I would pull them off and clean them. The pilot jets could be shitted up. And new plugs could help like mentioned as well......
  15. What you mean by open areas? If you want open trails, I suggest tug hill. AWESOME!!!!!
  16. I reside in Elma NY. Near Buffalo....
  17. I think you are lean if anything. If you did some mods to help out the exhaust and/or the intake, than you need to richen up the jetting. And with the temp. change, it is emminent....
  18. I don't know what or who's pipe you just put down, but there is no way in hell, or even here on earth that a stock banshee will beat a 450. it's just that simple. I don't need anyone to tell me anything, and i am certain I have "woken up" this morning. I have seen it with my own two eyes. I have raced them. Dragged them, and raced woods with them. I have been beaten by the 450. My bike isn't stock, and his was. And do not give me any shit about him being a better rider than me. It ain't so. My bike is fairly quick for a stock motor. I have pipes, and some other little tricks and what not, but I got beat by his bike. I also beat his. All in all, I say we were even. now, with a stock shee, there is NO chance for you to beat a 450 out of the box. not gonna happen. Unless dude has a heart attack while racing, you will lose. The new 450's are just that fast. However, as aforementioned, once you mod the bike, it goes to the shee from there. Sometimes, I think some people have their head so far up their asses, or others asses for that matter that they can't see the light.....
  19. I got it almost completed!!! I got the backdrop on it Christmas eve, and drilled and countersunk some bolts to hold the top plate down. I slid the middle shelf plate in there, and I still have to anchor it down. I have to find a good vice to put on there, but it should be coming together by the end of the weekend. We'll see. That shit is a PITA to drill holes in with caveman drills and wood bits... Maybe if I summon the drill gods I can "borrow" a drill or two from work...
  20. I got me some new ski pants from my parents, and a new pair of gloves from my Aunt and Grandmother. Other than that, I didn't get a damn thing. Not even from the wife. Although, we just got a new house in November, so I guess that was a neat christmas present. And I gave myself a new workbench. So it's all good!!! I was hoping for a gift certificate from Jim at Passion RE for a port job, but it never came.... So i guess I will have to keep on saving up....
  21. Hrmmmm Perhaps we will have to get a ride together. I have been in touch with Tungsten and DogBoy before but we have never set anything up..... Perhaps in the spring.... Or, maybe we can get a convoy to Roostfest.....
  22. His crank will seperate. Running race fuel is good for him because he shouldn't detonate. I don't know of any time frame, however, if the crank hasn't already begun to seperate, it will soon. The bluing on the pipes tells me there is excessive heat coming out of the exhaust ports. This is attributed to lean jetting. Not good either.....
  23. I just poked through that link that RKTek put out. Here is an excerpt from it for those who do not wish to read it all. It IS a good read however..... Here is Sainty's site, http://www.stealthengineering.com/ and here is the old one as the new one still under construction. http://www.stealth.fsnet.co.uk/index.html
  24. I disagree with that Mike. It doesn't burn slower. It resists compression ignition (the high octane I am speaking of here) so that you don't get pre-ignition. However, Once ignited. That is what we're speaking about here. It is not a matter of how long it takes to burn, they will both do the same thing, provided you set the motor up to run that specific fuel...
  25. I used to ride Marienville alot. Rocky Gap, and what not. About 2 hour ride for me... And them flywheel weights, DON'T get them. If anything, lighten your flywheel...
