  1. The RZ and banshee bore sizes are the same. Also, Ruff, I know what auction you are talking about. 'Tis right HERE And they are just bored .030" from his writeup.
  2. I drilled and tapped my frame 7/16"-20 in both holes. Worked like a champ. Haven't stripped yet. Threaded rod is usually a very low grade material. Soft. That would usually strip fairly easy. But, the frame is really soft too. I dunno. Only thing I do know is that the 7/a6 has been holding up for me. And I'm 235 #'s!!!
  3. $$$$$ in parts and service down the road
  4. Ohhhhhhhh. In your fist post you have .75mm not 75mm. BIG difference!!!! lmao!!
  5. Depends. Static compression will fall when the exhaust port is set higher in the cylinder. And the rate of the fall, well, you would have to know the port height And dome size, and what not. There are too many variables to fit in there...
  6. Dammmm I better get moving!!!!!!!!
  7. Stock bore-64mm + .75mm=64.75mm What more do you need? I don't understand what you are after here??? ANyone that deals with Wiseco pistons should be able to help you out...
  8. That is .030" over stock bore.
  9. You should spend the $50 and get the removal kit. You will thank yourself later....
  10. Sparky's. Made by Cobra...
  11. and Bonnie my friend, you can ride my jock Sir.....tehehehhehehehe That's Boony, wif 2 (two) o's in there. And if riding your jock means that I'll get to sling a leg over your bike and go for a rip, than, wait a minute, nevermind............ Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!
  12. Only a highly modified machine....
  13. SST's are an excellent choice. BUt, what type of riding do you plan on doing. There is a pipe for every application.
  14. I do not feel that there is more maintenance involved on a 2 stroke vs. a 4 stroke. Unless you consider mixing fuel maintenance. For sand, and the beach, and that big open grassy field, get a banshee. Take it easy for a little bit, get used to it, then hammer down. When it becomes too slow, start writing checks and mod it up to your hearts content.....
  15. I say your timing should be good. I have never had plugs work loose on me, but detonation could be a problem. DO you have a cool head? if you do, pull it off, and have a look see at the pistons? What do the plugs look like? Changing compression usually doesn't yield any jetting changes, but it is always a good idea to check. Now, you say it ran A-O.K. for 6 months, yet later you say that it would die on a 2nd gear start? That is not A-O.K. A stock shee should be able to start in second. Unless it has 12 paddle 22's on it? What is your jetting? Plug color? Does it ping? How old is the fuel?
  16. You old bastard!!!
  17. Holy good God batman. You aren't supposed to be connecting the pipes to the head!!!! man, that's the problem right there.....
  18. Like that did ya Led?
  19. I have used oven cleaner on engines for a long time. Have never had it eat anything. Sprayed it all over car motors. Nothing. Gunk works good too.
  20. I think you are going to get smoked by an LT230 Suzuki Quadsport. So, a YFZ 450 should smoke you as well. Especially with a 4mm motor from Passion... Duece is getting smoked on a regular basis by Mojave's as well. So I've heard.....
  21. DO you have a Clymer manual? If not, go get one, and peer in there. You need to have a service manual anyways, and the CLymer is an excellent value, and has invaluable information....
  22. Get the motor good and hot, and then spray an assload of oven cleaner all over it. let it sit for a bit, and then wash it.
  23. What pipes and gearing do you have? What do you weigh? What terrain are you racing on?
  24. Did you install the idle kit with the TORS removal kit? It is needed to make the bike idle...
  25. Been there and done that. Sometimes, bringing my 6 cell mag light to a gun fight doesn't win though. it is at this point that I ponder WTF I was thinking. You NEVER know what kind of a day the other guy is having, and what he may be packing.
