  1. It was fun to see your build come together, me and my bro inlaw have very similar mx/woods setups his is almost identical other than the engine setup (not sure if your rear tires rub the nerfs a bit too like my bro's as they are very close), I am not crazy about the alba built in heal guards, as it makes it very acward to kick and with a -1 swing it rubs 20" tire and limits the tires as far as paddle tires go. I run mx nerfs with no gads but that might be a bit dangers, we will see i gess That said fun watching your build and see how you changed it up to best suit you and your riding area, it was like building them all over in a more fun fun way watching someone else drain there pocket book for a change
  2. So it seems to be 50/50 how people feel I personally feel the banshee frame has less problems to the early lt250r. i still dislike all the LT250/500 frames way more, the welds suck they crack like crazy and dont have enough rake to the a-arms on the zilla causing lots of feedback. My zilla has got sbt camber shims and a few other minor tricks but the front end is still kinda flat. But feels ok overall for a bomber or dune quad, I also agree that the zilla is coach, but feel it is just that way because the shocks are ok in stock trim and it is got a nice seat and is heavy and a bit to long A stock banshee is a trail quad, but both the units i built are setup full blown for mx, Im still on the fence if Im gona swap the zilla engine into a 450r frame for performance or leave it all mint and mostly stock as an investment. I had a 92 lt250r that slowly turned into a outlaw and that was a great quad, but not really a lt anymore I still have a DS650x the bike is setup too tall and heavy, but has good geomentry front and rear and is very well made. Its ment for big guys that desert bomb around in the baja and thats where it is better than lost any box stock machine Just beacause one is better or not to another, dosent mean i dont want one of each, as i do and it is fun to switch things up
  3. Simple i owned all of them, some i still do. 2x lt250r's, still have a quadzilla that is mint. Also still have a two trx250r a trx 450r a trx450r hybrid and multiple other brand 450r's, oh ya and a few big bore sport quads The Tec i only ever seen/experinced once a stock unit, they can be fixed like any machine, but stock are like a clown car with egg shaped wheels. Theres some fellows in the NW that are tec4 wizzards they know what they need. They also hoard all the good parts for them too haha
  4. The Tecate 4 is the worst stock as far as I know, massive bump steer, everything is inches off, where it should be A stock lt250r is also not much better the rear is worse with its backwards shock/linkage a quadzilla 500 is a tiny bit better than a lt250r yet not any better than a banshee But ya just about any other 250r 450r, and big bore is better in frame qeometry
  5. If you cross the boarder going south from BC if you get asked about weed and even mention u did it once long ago you are banned for life to all of the USA, even though lots of boarder states have the same laws to weed. lol Not sure why anyone would be dumb enough to answer the question, but it would still sting to get banned for life for doing something that is legal in some states anyway, forget a felony.
  6. Keep in mind there might be a higher percentage of leaf-licker leftest in the north, but theres still a hell of a lot less lefts buy number not even a 25 percent as many as in the US. Also our PMs time is running up and its looking like the most of the country is going right, thank god!
  7. I tryed a few ebay pwk on various bikes, they can be made to work. Say on a old vintage bike you just want to get running again. That said its just not really worth it, some are not made right at all and if not checked over can cause damage, they also can never be compared to a genuine keihin. Jet specs other members may have use for the same setup... will be very different jetting. And supporting people that rip off first world country genuine parts is bad enough. Check out this guys video its a bit goofy but dose cover some things that are big drawbacks to a knockoff https://youtu.be/_E4xW_wzvTQ

  9. I deal mainly with i-shock for elka they offer the same kind of deals and have better service for non lower 48 er's than ATV-G I just built a mx banshee with all LSR dc4 long travel gear front and rear, from i-shock and it turned out great/ If you got the right swing arm and go elka long travel I do recomend getting the Elka pro linkage. I prefer Fox shocks on my personal machines they need more tinkering and service but are good for lighter riders and very smooth.
  10. That sucks, i had that happen a few times. Was it the sender that screwed up or the sipping company. Must be the postal service or Ups, i refuse using ups as they ripped me off so many times in past. Even when things do go right with shipping its so expensive living above the lower 48. Between the 4x4 dirtbikes and quads projects, i could of put money down on a new house instead!
  11. Ya that looks totaly differenet to all the ones I see, Mine is the gold color like from your link, But even different to that as the lever is got a barrel with the red adjuster dial towards the inside. I tryed to order the 9mm but Magura said it was disscontiued and they only had 9.5mm units, Oh well it still works great many pulls later. Theres a trick to sealing and venting the slave cylinder vent cap that is almost a must do if you want it to live, as water can get in there very easy.
  12. What model magura is that, looks a bit different to the one I bought for my cr500r, master piston 9.5mm?
  13. I ordered a set for my 250r, and they never contacted me even called in. But i see others on trx250r got there sets? oh well not a huge deal i still want some for both bikes but need to save the money all over again, long since spent that amount over an over. Already in the serval, witch was a way better investment at the time.
  14. So is that like a motion pro part? Kinda looking for one that still has the quick adjust wheel... Thanks
  15. Just got a nice set of folding bling levers, Brake side fits great. However the clutch lever is to wide at the mount on my aftermarket cheapo perch So I gess my question is, what aftermarket perch fits the stock style levers? Hopefully there is a cheap option, def dont want to go back to the stock setup with the e-brake...
  16. Get a 2 into one kit and a new 36-38mm pwk way better, you can thank me later thats what me and and anyone that tryed my banshee ends up getting. flat out rips also very reliable when it get cold
  17. Theres always a few mint 06 banshee's from time to time up north. Also mint 07 and 08 units, if you got the coin you can still by a brand new on in a crate
  18. I like the color and setup on your blaster, very nice
  19. That ground strap looks like one your free rang goats eat a can of brush on electrical tape and took a dump on your engine. But more important, who installed that highly enginered shop floor? must a been some of your new border jumping enginering students
  20. Your lucky to have as many sport quad riders over there as you do to have a club, even a few 2 strokes too very cool! We sometimes are allowed to attend 4x4 mud drag races. After the track is almost back to wet dirt, some banshees and snowmobile glide right accross with the right setup. Other than that its redo type atv stuff. Sometimes I feel to be the only active 2 stoke quad rider around, its super limited numbers of people over this way that even ride any kind of race quad. And most that are into q zillas, 250r are a bit older and tend keep to themselves. Its all about single track crazy hill climbs over here, where a mx dirtbike is almost needed.
  21. You did a good job, I just buy new stuff when things arnt shinny anymore haha. When you factor in that you can re-selling old pipes for small return, then extra time spent, chemicals, cleaning up your work area after... possible health risks with some chemical... It might actully be cheaper bahaha
  22. ESR has lots of jets too, but he is geared more towards the trx250r comunity. But i got a few really nice jet/carb bowl wrench from him, that comes with 6 or 7 main jets not sure if he still offers that deal.
  23. I would say yes they are worth it, I did a bunch of cleanup work on the welds and powder coat on the OEM frame. I wish I just went with the lighter chromoly LSR unit. They are lighter like 15-20 lb and have pro peg mounts as an option. You can also ask for some things like extra built in skid plate mount tabs for a few extra dollars, also they are already powdercoated and wont rust.
  24. I see you chose the banshee over the trx250r, good start your a smart guy
