  1. Alrighty, thanks guys
  2. So matoons "drag" cover can be ran on basically everything
  3. I have not the slightest idea on what the small screw does on the neutral cover, can someone give me some insight on it?
  4. I had that happen with a bolt on my Yamaha insert on the clutch case. I took a good, sharp drill bit and drilled through it until the head came off. It left a decent stud and no cutoff wheel marks
  5. I'm surprised the ama got involved
  6. I'm not sure how they would really catch you though, if the cops get quads or bikes there would be a lot of grey areas when it comes to chasing a person and charging them...
  7. They got there noise ordinance passed a few years back, now they are complaining about dirt. $1000 fine, 90 days in prison, and the ability to impound and sell your bike/quad/side by side if the law passes. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2014/11/18/atv-enthusiasts-fill-hampton-twp-meeting-in-light-of-proposed-ban/
  8. My basket and main trans. shaft is shot, perfect example of why you never re-bend tabs. I've poked around and it seems like there is a lot of company's that sell clutch baskets. What's the best bang for my buck in your opinion? I'm in the woods 99.9% of the time.
  9. That's all that was messed up, that I've found so far
  10. I'm guessing from the dent in the side of the rad and the frame having cracks and it hasn't had a easy life. And the polar vortex is coming through pa so I've started a complete tear down
  11. >10-30w >I had the right amount of oil in it I can't say that for the previous owner >I changed the air/fuel/oil the night I brought it home >stock bore and its a 98 >I made a attempt to ask about it when I bought it but the guy was a air head. > the oil plate was in place >only thing I seen was the bend tabs on the clutch nut where gone
  12. Yes the gear is pretty stuck on the shaft. I'm guessing im going to have to press it off
  13. Yep. Looks like its spun and has deep gouges, any input on what happened?
  14. Your right having a ocd for repairs is stupid. Just make the customer pay for the same repair again. I clearly stated I'm not a electrical engineer, just a guy asking a question.
  15. That's my winter xc project, she has a ways to go.
  16. You should see me at work.
  17. Would a aluminum core wire make any difference in a small system like that?
  18. ^ that's what I was looking for, thanks for clearing that up for me
  19. 600v coming off the stator to the posts on the coil?
  20. I see a lot of twisted pair/shielded wires on heavy equipment. They are mostly for sensors and communication wires (cdl&j1939). I stumbled on some smarter people talking about there use in AC systems and transformers. Correct me if I'm wrong, a coil could be considered a transformer just in a smaller scale? So would there be any benefit to running a shielded twisted pair to the coil? Or am I just over thinking this.
  21. Sarcasm is hard to illustrate over the internet
  22. And that's alright for a woods/MX setup
  23. I'm looking for these parts... -CFM aluminum airbox -Alba long travel a-arms -Chariot cages with or without reeds -Chariot billet intake for stock carbs -Modded shift star -clutch pancake setup If you got any of these items pm me.
  24. I'm trimming the fat off my banshee and fixing little things before I get it powder coated, I was stumbling through google and seen a couple variations of the picture below. I'm not a frame builder or designer but does taking that brace out of the frame hurt the structural integrity in that section?
