  1. Ok, I got a new jig and guage. Pressure tested it for over 30 minutes and there was no drop in pressure. Plugged my motor and pumped it to 6 psi. Started the stop watch. Sprayed with warm soapy water with dish soap. Monitored for 3 minutes. No drop in pressure. Threw the ball with the dog and forgot about it. When I went over 12 minutes later the needle was still fully on 6 psi. I'm trashing the air leak idea. Drained carbs into water bottle. A small amount of water was in the carbs. Drained both carbs completely. Drained the bottom off the tank. Reassembled and tested. Still sluggish. Turned air screws in. They are about 1/2 turn out and the problem lessened so does that mean larger pilots and fresh gas?
  2. Yes but I live in a pretty isolated area and no one really has a use for premium gas. So I'm not sure how long it has been sitting in a tank
  3. I did, I was just asking a question. I've seen old trucks act up when water gets in a carb. I washed my tank and let it sit in a warm basement for months, and premium gas sketches me out
  4. Nope not at all. Would water in a carb give symptoms like that?
  5. I found a hose to fit my PVC. I'm going to pressure test my setup just to eliminate that first.
  6. When I took it apart I didn't see any kind of sealent, so I didn't put any on. Is it recommended to seal it?
  7. That was dumb of me. The lower end would be pulling vacuum not making pressure.
  8. That's gonna be tommrow its getting cold and dark out now. I cranked the freeze plugs in and used 5/16 hose clamps on the PVC with a 1/4" wratchet
  9. So if I take my dip stick out and put my finger over the hole and feel it build pressure I'm in trouble?
  10. Wouldn't it be oil coming out and smoking like a siv?
  11. Ok I noticed fuel coming out of the bottom case bolts the 2 in the middle, any remedy for that
  12. Ok leakdown test I lost 1 psi over 2 minutes
  13. Its a prm I'm guessing the guy wanted a Duncan but couldn't afford it, the hand guards are just plane Jane powermadds
  14. Vito's needlesMiddle clip Carbon tech reeds No leakdown yet Haven't done a compression test but I know its putting out. And its a ignorant bastard on mid to top end. I understand the importance of jetting, I get where your coming from I've seen the after effects of lean jetting and I don't want to be one of those guys
  15. I have not its in the 3rd clip, I bought a Vito's jet kit as well that has the larger size jets and it included needles so it has Vito needles...
  16. I just finished building my bike and I'm having issues with 0-1/2 throttle on take off. Its basically falling flat on its face and bogging till it shuts off. It idles fine I can stab the throttle and it responds fine. But I just can't get it moving unless I feather the clutch and get it in the higher rpm range. I tried the excel worksheet and its giving me really high numbers. So if you got any input that would be great. >Heads cut .15 >Stock cylinders 64.50 with a fresh top end >Stock bottom end >Stock carbs currently running 300 main, 30 pilot and the air screw in the stock pos. >Cfm airbox with uni pods, its not on the quad yet, I left it off to sync the carbs >FMF fatty's >I'm at roughly 1200ft above sea level >Its been in the 40's lately.
  17. I thought it would be a good idea to build it in the basement which has a man door to the garage. Oops. But she is sitting on all 4's again.
  18. You have to screw the female side of the snap onto the plastic, the fit seems good though
  19. You got to put screws into your plastic though
  20. Since this is going to see mainly woods I picked up a screen, I'm guessing they were not a very popular item because the packaging looked older than me
