  1. Its kinda hard to see but I took a straight edge across the top and didn't see any protrusion of the sleeve. I even went the extra mile and took a cylinder depth gauge we use on setting liners on trucks and I seen maybe like .001 of protrusion
  2. I'm taking them into work tommrow and cleaning them up I'll post some pictures later
  3. I finally got around to pulling the top end off my banshee I bought this summer, hasn't had a top end since it rolled off the showroom floor in 98, but that's beside the point. I'm guessing it sat a while because the cylinders have distinct witness marks of where the rings sat on the cylinder if you look in the intake and exhaust it looks like the sleeve got pulled up a little bit. Can I get the jugs ported and bypass having a new sleeve pressed in it or does it need resleeved?
  4. So motor city is just a dealer of drive line?
  5. Hey guys, I was looking to get a cool head this winter while rebuilding my stocker, I stumbled across this on eBay. Has anyone ran these on there banshee yet? Or would it be a good idea to steer clear of them? http://m.ebay.com/itm/291025830258?nav=SEARCH
  6. The choke tube is there and isn't cracked...yet
  7. Put them in wrong initially, I found that out when I tried to sync them and nothing lined up in the windows, and I checked and made sure one wasn't stuck open...
  8. I have developed a problem after installing a adjustable timing plate and new throttle cable on my banshee. I put both items on at the same time so its hard to narrow down which it is. It accelerates just fine and wot it runs like a banshee but as soon as I let off for a second and try to get back in it the power isn't there unless I pull the clutch and give it a rev. I don't really know the symptoms of unsynced carbs and I haven't played with my jetting since I set it to what FMF recommends. I backed the plate from +4 to +3 and the issue didn't really resolve any. Any input is appreciated Roughly 1500 ft above sea level Stock carbs Main: 260 Pilot:30 Stock needle 3rd clip +3 advance timing FMF fattys and powercore 2 No airbox lid Plugs went from a nice tan (pre installation) to black but not sooted black
  9. I didn't know ATV four play made bars... Might have to do some research now.
  10. If anyone has a set they are willing to part with get ahold of me.
  11. This has been taking up shelf space for a while. The shock is in good working condition, not leaking or blown out. lower knucle bearings are good. Pm for pictures, $80 for both.
  12. I have a set of houser silcast +2 long travel a-arms I'm looking to get rid of. They are off of a 04 yfz 450. They are the MX style not the gull wing style. Pm for pictures
  13. I'm looking for a set of +2 +1 a-arms if anyone has a set they would be willing to sell shoot me a text 7248316805
  14. In a nutshell I'm looking for stability and travel. I'm just wondering if the 450 conversion is something dependable or would I be better off selling and getting the correct a-arms?
  15. I was running yfz 450r shocks which are 18.25 I think and I was comfortable with the way it handled. So what's the best recommendation hack or sell?
  16. I've been tossing around a idea in my head for a couple days. I'm attempting to make my banshee into a xc setup. I'm looking for a lot of travel since its rocky rough terrain where I ride. So what I'm asking is does anyone know where I could get a-arms that offer like 10.5" worth of wheel travel? Or should I start hacking at my $950 a-arms?
  17. Thats exactly what i was looking for! Thanks!
  18. I'm sure I'm not the only guy who has expericed the embarrassing moment when your banshee stands up when your least expecting it and you have to pick the dirt out of your stingers. I have been thinking about cutting my powercore 2 silncers (just the aluminum can and tube) down to a shorty length or cutting enough to get them inside the plastic's. I'm just wondering if anyone has done it yet and how it accutally affected how there banshee came into the power. I tried calling FMF to ask there opinion but just like any other factory rep they said that sounds like a horrible idea
