  1. Claude, put a matching seat cover on that unit.
  2. The transmission as it is is plenty strong, the problem with the increased hp is the shifting. The promod eliminates that problem so shifting under load is easier.
  3. Try this with the eccentric screw first. Hopefully you didnt bend a fork.
  4. Fine. Your thinking too much about this. Every banshee on the planet is running pods or air box and they all work great and dyno testing shows a 1 hp gain with pods. Not worth the hp if your pipes can bend around the air box run the air box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. run the air box without the lid and a pro flow kit
  6. I would go with a Serval or low port Driveline set up. Go with a 421. My engine is in the dyno section if you want to look at what that set up can get you hp wise. A builder like Redline or Driveline knows the formula for their engines so they can set you up all the way. Youll need a pro mod transmission and billet clutch basket for the extra power along with the internal mods like high flow impeller, pancake bearing etc.
  7. Is gas mileage a factor?
  8. If I had 3-5k I’d put 1k into the engine and put the rest into suspension and a desert tank. 4 mil stocker or just a plain port job with welded crank would be a big power improvement. HJR play port or dune port
  9. i like HJR porting also
  10. Curious, do you just want to drag race or do you want a rideable duner?
  11. Best option for power is porting and different pipes. Your current pipe is a low end pipe, buy CPI or Shearer pipes and have you engine ported and stock crank welded. Advance your timing to plus 4 is cheap and free. For another 400 you could buy a 4 mil crank and increase your hp to 75hp with that set up. VF4 reeds, higher compression, larger carbs (although not necessarily needed) will all give you gains. Check the dyno section for 4 mil stocker engines and you will see the gains available
  12. You should check your compression. if your plugs are brown and not wet or black or white your jetting might not be a problem
  13. If they are chipped or you can see daylight through them that will cause problems. So your saying it’s so rich that the plugs are soaked when you pull them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. How’s the condition of your reeds?
  15. Whats damaged on your old carbs? Maybe they can be brought back to life. If not change slides, needles and jets from your old and try in the knock offs. You should be good with a 270-280 main and a 30 pilot.
  16. Weird, i was just talking about this. I run 28s on a 421 serval and they are dialed in with the Snipers from Cam himself. He did have trouble with these carbs air screw adjustment. I have switched to Shearers and i cant get the jetting where i want them. I just bought 33 PWK from a guy running Driveline set up who couldnt get his 28s working either. This guy eneded up going 35s. Driveline seem to perfer 35s on their 421s, thats how id go.
  17. 156 jet? What carbs are you running?
  18. Claude, translation pls
  19. Generally speaking, your good on small bore pipes until 465cc
  20. SLP by a mile. No pipe is going to bring that kind of power and torque at such a low rpm. And gearing
  21. cha ching
  22. If Alba wants to send you something to make things right why not consider a steering stem? I run xrf pegs and they are a pain when kicking but you get use to it, I also have AC but the heels were cut off to help with kicking. I like the foot pegs on the AC pegs best.
  23. Get new domes for running pump gas. You still have too much compression. Driveline sells domes for a great price, tell them what you have and they’ll set you up.
  24. Reeds and a port job for sure. You’ll be flying.
  25. what do you mean the carb equalizer has been deleted? Is it in a billet crossover intake now? Anyway, those pipes already like bigger pilots, since your at 80 over and have porting i would try a bigger pilot
