  1. suffocating it with a snorkel seems counterproductive with aftermarket pipes..
  2. im liking my new streamline levers. Went with banshee clutch/yfz brake since I have the yfz master. cleaned up the handle bars alot!
  3. better compression check that thing if you been running with little to no oil!
  4. I run protaper 1 1/8 mid bend and i like them. they've taken a couple spills with no damage. Even when it bent the steering hoop the bars were fine. agree with this also unless your riding smooth surfaces always. In the trails the back and fourth pull of the terrain made it more difficult as opposed to the thumb.
  5. Parking brake switch issue? Only does it when clutch is pulled in?
  6. I believe 2007 (i could be wrong) is when they upgraded the front master and has more braking power. So these years and after are more desirable.
  7. I run a larger gas tank on my serval mostly because the original bike came with it. I was against it and planned on going to oem but i lacked some plastics, After riding with it i didn't even notice a difference in how it handled so left it, even though I had no real need for it since i mostly trail ride. I always find myself near the vehicles well before I am ever low on fuel. If i was a dune rider it would probably be more of an issue. Make no mistake though, If im really hammering on her it does guzzle the fuel crazy compared to all the other bikes and quads i run with. id say roughly 3 hours of ride time.
  8. I run a FAST 421 serval on Pump fuel on a woods shee and its great. Lugs up hills and around difficult terrain effortlessly with plenty of torque. Then with just a blip of the throttle im on the pipe accelerating fast. If i keep my weight transfered on the rear for max traction it will pull so freaking hard its sick. Pretty much spanked all my local casual rider types and a few other 421 shees that were on race gas but set up by the owner. im very happy with my machine!
  9. Good looking list. This will cost more then 12k. I built one a couple years back. Some used parts alot of new and had FAST build the engine. It was over 12k invested. Nothing like the smiles its given me though!!
  10. we get it. You were given the answer to the question you asked. A very honest answer from experienced banshee guru's. Its obvious your not looking for a real answer. So run it all!
  11. Loose the boost bottle! gives no "boost" in performance but weights down the intake boots. Thus causing them to jiggle and move more and create tears in them eventually creating a lean condition due to the tear and will burn up a cylinder.
  12. small black electrical box under the left side "shifter side" under fuel tank. (TORS Brain)Unplug that!
  13. Wondering if any one has a 35mm airstriker slide size 4.5 printed on the bottom. Or point me where I could buy one. I cant seem to find just the slide anywhere, just all the other parts or full carbs.
  14. Looking for a good condition Lock up and cover Pics and prices please. Pay pal ready!
  15. They surely can be installed backwards if they were installed into the wrong carb. You should be able to see the arched cut away from the air cleaner side if they are correct.
  16. 421 serval built by Fast with cleanup port on pump gas 1) What type of aftermarket exhaust do you have? Shearer SB inframes 2) What type of airfilter do you have? K&N Pods with outerwears 3) Are you a) no airbox at all 4) What is your elevation? 923 ASL 5) What size pilot jets are you using? 35 6) What size main jets are you using? 152 7) What temperature is your Banshee jetted for? 60-80ish 8) Do you have a port job? 421 serval cub/cleanup port 9) What kind of carbs? Keihin 35mm pwk air strikers 10) What size carbs? 35mm CGL needles middle clip, air screws 1.5
  17. do you have the longer adjusters? I had issues using stock size adjusters on my 35 pwk's, had to get longer ones
  18. In my experience If your idle screws have to be turned in all the way to make it idle then its usually too rich on the idle circuit or something in the mechanics of the idle screw is being disrupted (not enough filed off the carb body, wrong idle screws, improperly installed slides etc.)
  19. Did you file enough metal off the area the idle screws, screw in to? A 30 pilot should be sufficient for that engine. Probably need to file off more so you can raise the Idle. Then also turn in the air screws some.
  20. I just took my stock gas cap off one of my shees and placed it on my bike that has an IMS tank and it screws on and appears to have the same type of thread. Now it does have fewer threads and only screws on maybe 2 turns till seated but it does fit.
  21. Just fixed this issue on mine. Used a Bottle jack and a piece of wood. Have to stand the bike upright or the bottle jack wont work. I wedged the block of wood in the seat cross member area for support for the base of the jack and the jack pad on the steering hoop. I initially didn't use a block of wood and just wedged the jack against the seat latch crossmember thing but it was starting to twist it. So I straightened it and then used the wood block to help. Then took measurements from each side of the hoop to make sure it was even. It took more then one time bending cause I didn't want to over bend it.
  22. I had a blast shooting up all them hills! Hit the sand drag for a few and put a whooping on everyone for a bit before my buddy's yfz 450 got hot and didn't want to run well. Going next Sunday with a fairly large group around 15 of us. Didn't take many pics unfortunately and forgot my cam but I'll have a phantom 3 drone up there next Sunday for some video.
