  1. *UPDATE* banshee has bog at take off/low rpm. i filed the bosses on the carb down so i can see the idle screws raise the slides from cylinder side when disconnected from intake boot. turned my idle up high and worked on the air/screws the bike seems to have a higher rpm as i screw out the screws at 1.5 turns out and further (bog seems to not be too relevant when riding with a higher idle) then ill turn my idle back down rev it (sounds crisp) ride it still low rpm bog, and if i WOT it bogs then i have to feather tap the throttle to get around it or just clutch slip. my needle is on the 3rd clip(stock) i've ordered some 32.5pilots but im wondering if i need to go to 27.5?? my fmf pipes say use 30/260 which is whats in currently, also, my tailpipe is leaking oil one more than the other, the one leaking more oil has a darker look on the spark plug which is making me believe i am RICH?? but the low rpm bog makes me think i am LEAN smh has anybody a situation such as mine that can help me? boyesen dual stage power reeds 550ft 70-85degrees fmf exhaust/silencer k&n pods tors eliminator cross-over tube stock carbs
  2. I filed more off idle screws, they still must be all the way in tight to run & my air screw is half turn out, this means I'm allowing as much fuel to go thru from my idle-1/8th throttle and that's the only spot where it bogs/farts, I'm thinking I need a bigger pilot? Any suggestions with ppl who have had this problem
  3. 550 ft elevation , fmf fatty, boyesen dual stage reeds, maxima 927 40:1 mix, k&n pods. 260 main/30 pilot. jus removed my tors, did the eliminator kit, and installed new dual stage reeds. ordered a 290 main since the reeds richen the main jet but the reeds lean the pilot so it kinda like bogs/farts when i give it gas starting from idle, my air screw are about 1.5 turns out and new idle screws are all the way in far as can go. im thinking its doing this from not enough gas but when i turn the screws in more the idle doesnt sound as nice and tuned as it should, and with my idle screws pulled out any it wont idle by itself without me giving it throttle.. should i go up a size in the pilot jet? P.S.also i got my throttle close to being snappy as possible if i have it with too much play the bike will just start right up bog real quick and die out, my guess is from not enough gas b/c when i rev it high it sounds good braaap but when i low rev it slightly buurps any support is appreciated, Thanks
  4. *UPDATE* the plug was the whole reason why it wasnt sparking! plugged it back in and the banshee turned right over jus kept bogging down and dying.. what do you guys suggest on my idle tune? i run 30 pilot 260 main, fmf powercore, dual stage reeds, where should my air/fuel screw be? im so glad i figured out why the hell it wasnt running, cant believe it was that small of an unplugged cord.
  5. i unplugged this when removing my TORS for the simple reason that it wasnt hooked to nothing, can anybody tell me what plug this is? my banshee still isnt running after new spark plugs and intake boots, i know its the spark
  6. *UPDATE* same issue but i think i finally discovered the problem.. my top head must not be grounding because i have no spark while the plugs are in the head. i know this b/c i took one plug out and tested for spark off my exhaust and the bike half way started ( i heard the engine turn and rumble) the spark ran back thru to the other plug and started.. but how do i solve this problem?? when i removed my TORS i unplugged a 4wire plug that was hooked too nothing at all as well as my black box and tors cable, can anybody tell me what the 4wire plug is?? i always dont have a parking brake installation(jus sayin)
  7. it was running 260s before i installed new dual stage reeds and tors eliminator kit, i ended up having the float bowls and slides on wrong, fixed that problem but still will not start, how can you check if the fuel is getting to your cylinders?? here are my spark plugs, they still have spark, the right was jus slightly wet idk why one is darker than the other but like i said my shee was running before i tried to update it
  8. this is what my spark plugs looks like the one on the right had a slight wetness too it.. my bike was running before these updates
  9. thanks this picture told it all i did have the bowls on wrong, but still will not start smh, what could it be slides are correct, choke tube in, how can you tell if you arent getting fuel thru to the cylinder, i replaced my stock reeds with boyesen dual stage power reeds same time i did the tors eliminator so idk if that could be the problem, carbs keep spilling fuel from overflow from not starting off my kicks&choke pulls
  10. Yea I ordered the crossover piece. Be a few days till I get that but I cleaned out carbs one at a time. How would u kno if bowls are on wrong carb mine doesn't say BB it jus says 1-1on inside of my right carb& 1-2 on the inside of my left choke carb bowl with the little needle coming out of the bowl, is that right?
  11. okay did my research and found that this is the correct way for the slides to be facing when looking from the air intake, am i right? i had the caps on the wrong carbs reversed/backwards but still no start after 15 kicks, what should i look too next? i think its just a few kicks away really ha since it was just running before tors removal.. anyways let me know, thanks for the support... p.s. the picture uploaded upside down idk why
  12. okay so how do i upload photos they keep saying my pics are too large in file?

  13. so should the slides be slightly cracked with the idle screws in?? i adjusted the slides by the caps and throttle cable then installed idle screws, dont really know how tight to have them cuz i havent been able to get the shee to start to hear the idle... this is driving me crazy i been doing all this research but no start still
  14. saint louis, Mo. stay in illinois though right across the bridge
  15. i unplugged the brain before i even started to install eliminator, after removing brain i kicked it and it cranked after a kick or two and idled fine. i cleaned my carbs out one at a time so ik my bowls are correct slides are fine and even with throttle pull, i jus removed my reeds and checked them again seen i had a reed spacer and removed that, cuz i didnt hear too much good about those. 290main jet is on its way in the mail. im going to try again with these 260s tho.
