  6. Ok so the bike starts but will only hold a very low idle for about 5 sec. I got 30 pilots 300 mains air screw 2 turns out. What's next? Bigger pilot? It did this also with my 27 1/2 pilot as well.

  8. Ol yea I think ill start with a 300. Rather be a bit rich than a bit lean.

  11. What loco said. The pads are always in contact. If you ever do a set on a car. Sipn the hub after bleeding them they always have a rubbing sound.
  12. Anyone? Also does jetting change when going to a 50/50 mix of race gas and 93 pump?
  13. Ricky stators have probs. Get a OEM. Many people will say the same. Pull your buddies and throw it on yours.
  14. Check the 2 small wires coming off the stator should get CON.

  17. Btw I got coming in 27.5 and 30 pilots. And 300,310. Also have a set of 250 mains I think that came with my carbs but figured them to.be way to small
  18. Ok so I got to clean up the carbs and I have 25 pilots and 290 mains. It's around 50 deg. Is this ok for heat cycles? I have a range of jets in the mail so should I just wait or am I ok to run a heat cycle or two through it.
  19. You need some sort of ignition switch. Either key or tether. Search on bhq for a wiring diagram or get a manual with one. And see what your missing. Also did you test the cdi,coil,plug wires,boots and stator?
  20. O-ring kit at harbor freight did the job for me.
  21. Oh and the big numbered jets 300,310 etc are main jets. The small numbered ones like 27.5,30 etc are pilot jets
  22. The jets are numbered. They have them stamped on them what size they are. Screw them all the way in snug. Over tightening can damage them. When he talks about clip he's talking about the needles attached to the carb cap. There's a little clip on them and notches for the clip to go. Move the clip down one slot to be richer. That will bring the needle higher. You should look through posts for jet and needle installs. Or buy a manual. Hope this helps.
