  1. Leak down tests are hugely important. They are easy to make.

  4. simple rule of thumb....go down one jet size for every 2000' in elevation.
  5. what sort of temp decreases are you guys getting with these radiators?
  6. thanks guys. The pipes are PT Mids. Had some fmf's on there and they were nice but the PT's made the power much more user friendly in the woods. Also has 2 into 1 carb- 35mm. +2+1 arms, works shocks and a 4 degree key. It runs great. There is a very small hesitation off the bottom but hopefully my order from jetsrus will cure that problem in the near future. Should be ordering a -2" swinger from JL in another month or so and will bump the compression a bit to help out with bottom end response. Long term plans are to install a 4mil crank with HJR trail porting. I've owned a number of quads (a few 450's) and I have to say that this bike is my favorite even for woods. Sure it's not as easy as a thumper in the tight sections but I think that's half the fun. Love me the smell of that 2 stroke motor in the morning
  7. So I got my first banshee about 6 weeks ago. It's been a blast. I figured that I'd post a pic to see what you guys think. I've been lurking around for a while and can't say enough about this site. Thanks for all the help so far! http://s1153.photobucket.com/albums/p505/biker_jon/?action=view&current=DSCN1860.jpg
  8. I run 23'S up front with 22's in the rear on a 10" rim. Not much tire roll to speak up. I did gear down to 13/42. I ride trails and it works well. Lots of clearance for obstacles.

  10. oh yeah mine is a trinity set up with 35mm pwk. Stock motor with k&N pod and pt mid pipes.
  11. im running a 60 pilot at 5500' elevation and a 155 main with my 2 into 1 set up.
  12. Start with the easy stuff. Get a fresh set of plugs. Make sure you are getting spark. Make sure you are getting fuel. Check your compression to see if your motor is healthy. Then go from there. Ask more questions as you start your diagnostics but you need to start with the fundamentals. Good luck
  13. Also, try adjusting the air/fuel mixture screw. Depending on the jetting you should be around 2 turns out as a starting point.
  14. make sure your pilot jets are spotless. Blow compressed air through them to make sure. See if it idles after you do this. If not. try setting the idle on your carbs. It should idle faster with the choke....it basically richens the fuel mixture for starting.
  15. clean your carbs. If you are going to store your bike for that long, make sure you drain all of the gas first.
  16. yep. im looking for a used set. got any?
  17. looking for spark arrestors for Paul Turner Fat Boy 2 silencers..
  18. I have a set of fmf fattys ill be ready to sell next week if you are interested.....
  19. I have the chest mount. I like it best for dirt biking (better body positioning for the view) when I'm on the shee, I mount it on the side of my helmet.
