If going new with a bunch of the parts you listed you may want to change some things.... Go with vforce4 instead of 3's Sniper pipes would be a better choice for pipes Lockup and pro mod trans from redline. If gas mileage isn't a issue you may wanna go with some bigger carbs which will need bigger intakes. Talk to cam about it when you get the promod transmission and or lockup. If you can swing the higher price of 110 fuel the cub will make more power vs pump but you need to see what your current dome setup requires or just get new race gas domes

long crank vs short crank 4mm question
bluebanshee98 replied to barry1me's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I think the pipes with stock carbs will be better but IMO you should do both. Dont half ass it -
FFS parts can and will fail at times... If it's is someone's decision to use a used part there is def a higher possibility of the part failing. You choose a builder to intrust your motor with them. If something goes wrong then you simply contact your builder and get the issue fixed. They are more then likely to work and help fix the problem as earlier stated. The problem I see is that you didn't contact the builder after a problem was noticed. I understand everyone gets frustrated when things don't work out but what matters is how it's handled on both ends after something happens. I think you may releaize that now

Ha! On the east cost we have to pay more then 9 bucks a gallon for 110 and I'm running a +10mm stroked 611cc with two 41mm carbs for trails and you worried about spending extra cash on fuel with a smaller motor? If that's the reason then why not do a 421 cub with pump gas domes? It's gonna make more peak hp. You should be concerned about the power deliver that's NEEDED for the type of trails that you visit most often. Not the gas cost. Yes of course a pump gas motor is going to cost less for fuel but understand that a race gas motor is going to make more power and might just be more enjoyable and suitable for the place you ride. That's def food for though right there IMO. The bigger the motor the more gas it's gonna use regardless if it's running on pump or 110. You should be choosing a serval motor if you need power more in the lower Rpm's, tighter trails, or WFO is not your riding style ( which it isn't for many) Ect . If it's more wide open fire roads Ect you may be better suited with a cub. Servals are def impressive motors there is no doubt about that but your missing the main point of what's needed for your type of riding and that's just touching base slightly with the motor nevermind the chassis and suspension components... Just remember a highly modified chassis and suspension with a smaller motor is going to work better in the woods then a larger motor with all stock suspension. You follow?

finishing my long serval build

Use cascade heat wraps. They look good ( for wraps that is) and do a good job -
finishing my long serval build

To stretch out springs use stock pegs hole. Put stock pegs on bike. Insert one hoop and then you use spring puller tool and slowly stretch it out. Don't go too far when stretching. You want it long enough so that you still need to put some effort to pull the spring on to the pipe -
Thanks for clearing that up. To the op I believe FAST sells pre cut springs now check out their website

Which Honda throttle to be exact? Trx450r? 400ex? Trx250r? Was thinking about getting one for my stock bike

Sick to the banshees then. As much as I like the rockets they can and will get you into a predicament if you can't control yourself. Thank god my buddy sold is 600 he had. I like going fast but he was an idiot around the turns. One bit of gravel and he could of been done more times then I could count
-
Nothing wrong with 600's. Great bikes for sure. I had one when I had my 1000's as well. 600's are plenty fast. On a track like you said 600's will def carve the corners way better. All personal preference. Either way both bikes are a blast to ride and can't go wrong having one of them or both hahaha
-
Get a 1000 for sure. 600's are a bit lighter in the turns but the 1000's are the tits on the straightaways. I had three 1000's at one point years ago lol

Better to have it done right before a meltdown

Going +4 on on a timing plate regardless of build will be beneficial. Also going 4mil and having it ported will be good as well. Using race gas or pump gas will depend on your wallet. If you can swing the higher price of 110 then you will see gains. If not no worries you can still make good power on pump for what it can be. Some of the best builders will have a waiting list and IMO will be worth the wait. There are some others that's will do a good job as well. Bigger carbs will mean more top end but will take away some mpg. Setup is a huge key especially in a trail bike via suspension. Stock length swingarm is fine for a 4mm ported stock cylinder

JDS lockup brake lever
bluebanshee98 replied to 87sheerips's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Get some pics of the lever without the peg on. Not not bash the thread but it seems like it still touches the cover -
I've done plug chops only up to 4th gear pined for a couple seconds. Did 2 runs and the reading on the plug was fine. If you have the room to do 6th gear then go for it but people limited on space you can do 4th gear
-
You make one that clears any contact with the cover I'll buy one for 60. I'd rather pay that amount then have a messed up cover and ending up paying a lot more for another cover. Don't get discouraged

Raw pipes? Yea it would probably work but they will end up getting some rust at some point. Best to get them chromed and be done with it. Especially if it's a trail bike. The point I was making with my post before was that since its a pita to keep the cylinders polished you might as well get them done perfect then clear so you don't have the maintenance to deal with. Keep in mind your engine is protected pretty good from the elements more so then say the pipes or silencers Ect Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes on some things. The cylinders and cases I got professionally polished then got cleared. Side cases are chrome. Works great on cylinders, head and cases. I don't mind polishing some stuff like silencers, front master cylinder Ect . They are easy to polish, pretty accessible to get in there and shine them up. I always keep my quad clean as I can. Keep parts looking nice and they will stay that way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If your happy with it that's all that matters. I'm not sure of the weight on the prm. Would depend on thickness of the plate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
It's been over 2 years now and have not done anything to it. Of course I always wash it when it's dirty with a soft sponge and soap. Some things like your silencers which are always easy to polish you don't need to clear them. They get hit with a bunch of shit like dirt Ect as where the cylinders are tucked in the frame and don't get much contact Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How much was the skid plate? Prm has perfect fitment

Have you called them to see what's going on?
