  1. What all are they doing, just a complete re-build, did you tell them what happened. I say theres an air leak somewhere and it got worse an worse as you were riding and finally she leaned out and went boom. Make sure they inspect the bottom end to and don't just put a new top end in it. There WILL be pieces in the bottom end from the piston.
  2. I say go for the haulers but honestly I have these dunestars currently on my YFZ and I don't think there heavy at all. Compared to a hauler or what not yes there heavy but not to heavy I complain about it. If you found a set cheap, Id try them. They have done well on my yfz and I know a banshee wont have trouble turning them.
  3. I say hold off on taking it to the stealership. Your going to pay out the A$$ to have it rebuilt. Buy yourself a clymers manual check it over and see about tackling it yourself. These motors are very very simple even for noobs. Take your time and browse through it and go for it. Great way to learn.
  4. The debate on how old your kid needs to be before unleashing him on the ole shee is endless. It was your decision, now your paying for it. Check out the frame and make sure its not bent, shouldn't be sounds like a pretty low key incident. If the frame isn't bent finding parts shouldn't be bad at all.
  5. Not bad, I was quoted $700 for hood an airbrush
  6. Im pmed you on parts, get back to me and Ill gladly help you out. Let me know what other parts you need.
  7. Finch was it 500 for just airbrush or was that hood included.
  8. Im thinking it would look badass with cut front fenders. Clean though!
  9. did it happen right after you screwed up the fly wheel or did it run fine and then start acting up, good indication
  10. If no one pms you on here check ebay, always fine good used silencers for cheap
  11. That suspension is sexy! You will enjoy kevins 10mil, builds a good motor. Looks like a good build!
  12. 4 stroke packing will work but wont last as long, insulation is what I use. Wrap it as tight as you can around the cores and use some tape to help make it tight, no don't fill the muffler completely.
  13. those auto start accelerators are crazy arnt they.. Sounds like an air leak, check reeds, carb boots for cracks, reed gaskets
  14. Something let loose and found its way up there, Id tear down and figure out what it was before you surprised mid hill climb. Did it hold 150psi both cylinders after the fact. I have had a ring break and work its way up there.
  15. Foamy engine degreaser works well for me, never experienced that stuff but as far as mud, grease, oil, that shit takes it right off.
  16. There over priced anyways. JDS FTW!
  17. Sounds decent, this your first bike?
  18. Get a stock crossover tube, fairly stock bike, Id put 280 mains in it, clip in middle of the needle, and play with the pilot, I have had better luck with a 27 on a bike such as yours. When you add reeds I usually bump to 27.5. Check your plugs and coloring frequently and when you think you have it damn close do a plug chop and fine tune from there.
  19. Ya Ill continue buying JDS but no pictures please.
  20. More and more people are not posting pictures gtfo
