  1. Sandblast is only way to go. Im a big fan of that look.
  2. Post pics, do the cylinders need any work or can you get away with fresh top end?
  3. Here is mine, did all the work myself, granted I have a tig welder and ordered my parts and subframe from fourwheeladdiction.com everything went smoothly. I could have removed a couple more things but opted not to. Im pleased though.
  4. This is the way to go for a first banshee IMO, you can make a stock stroke bike very fun, specially what your going to be doing with it, Im a fan of Kevin at HJR for building motors, redline, FAST, White knuckle, just give them a call and talk to them, anyone of those will give you good information on your first build and will help you make the decision on which route to go. If your gunna have a go fast motor Im partial to a good chassis/suspension setup to go along with it, but your looking at more dinero. Post pics as you get it going.
  5. Take it apart, clean again and adjust floats, im assuming you have a manual.
  6. I disagree with this and hate when someone takes low blows from he said she said type of story. Chances are there is more to the story then this. I don't want to thread jack nor start a pissing match but Kevin is far from a "low life". He has built 2 motors for me and is going to get a 3rd here shortly. HJR does good work, but like everyone is saying for for t-rex stuff you made the right choice with TDR.
  7. looking at 3-3500 around me in Cali. Clean bike wish you were closer to me.
  8. x2 on anti seize, I learned the hard way on a shock bolt when I first bought a kit. The stainless kits look good. Are you just wanting the plastics bolt kit because if you don't want to spen for the whole kit I have a ton extra including the plastic bolts. Just a little fyi I can sell them to you.
  9. Manual will be your friend. What do you want out of it, stock trail bike with minor mods. Port / pipes / reeds / timing plate / cool head or milled head / tune it and run it. Who is doing your porting?
  10. Or if it was recent give FAST a call. They might remember the bike or build they did.
  11. Tool is only real proper way to do it but sit back, eye ball it, go ride and adjust accordingly.
  12. Word on the street is its closed down because of the whole government shut down? If I get work off I will be there.
  13. That's a clean looking bike. Like the green!
  14. Always been a fan of the neon green, there was a thread a while ago with a picture of one with blue plastics and I thought it was clean looking. Never go wrong with flat black and blue though. Good combo.
  15. always gotta pop up when the banshee account is low. She'd kill me. Very nice looking though GLWS
  16. Would be a nice frame if this^ was done!
  17. haha 45 minutes without coolant, holy shit if it was me riding it no way would it have lasted half that time.
  18. x3 on the Rubbermaid tote. That's how I have done my last 2 and no problems.
  19. ^^Cummings Im partial to dodge own a 12 CCLB Laramie and a 97 puller. My dad is a chevy guy and owns a 05. No problems. If I was to go newer I would go for dodge. Couple fords at work (brand new) already needed motor change and a transmission swap. New chevys are nice but more pricey and pay attention to the back seat room compared to dodge.
