Your fine with all the NOS parts. Double check everything, make sure you torque everything to spec. If you set the bike up good, jetted correctly, clean filter, plugs, routine maintenance. Take good care of it and don't ride it like a jackass the bike will last you a very long time. My 95 was bought from the original owner and turned into my girls bike, I have done the topend in it once since I have owned it, since 2004. They are very reliable in the right hands. Post up pictures and any other questions you have.

You and your wife will love it down there. My family an a bunch of friends travel from here in Ca. in July every year for 2 weeks. I take a couple days and me an a buddy drive up to Winchester bay just to ride it. Both are great places. Have a good trip!

Stainless breaks real easy if no anti-seize is used. I got a kit of ebay, don't remember the name or whatever. Worked just fine and no problems for over a year.

I have both, I will ride my 4mil before my 450r any day. The reason for buying the 450r was because my lady wanted an "easier" more lady friendly bike. I will give it to the R's though, they have some good power, I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun on it.

Take your time, if you suspect anything not going smoothly, take the head off inspect everything and try again, a buddy actually broke a ring putting a head on is yz 250 and ruined his weekend trip because he was in a hurry. Not something to rush.

No one should have to take sandpaper to new plastics, send that crap back and order from laker / fullbore, they take care and ship there parts perfect.

So is finch getting one or what? Guess it doesn't matter. I ordered one. Im going to be putting it on my 4mil first, if all works well I will be putting one on my 10mil. If its here by the weekend I will have a review by Sunday afternoon.
