  1. I'm not sure, I'll check when I'm at the shop tonight.
  2. How about some tips on pipes? I've cleaned them up some with steel wool and wd40. Is there a way to fix the bluing on the part close to the motor? What about how to get those slightly more rusty parts clean?

  7. Bump for some help
  8. Well my preliminary goggle searching is showing that these are super old. So what's my best bet in getting new ball joints and ends? I can't much about Denton racing at this point.
  9. I bought a stainless bolt kit for my bike. After reading through the forums I reckon it's a good idea to use anti seize. Here's what I don't know... The bolts had a piece of paper in then warning me NOT to tighten to factory specs. It mentioned referring to an included chart, but no chart was included. Does anyone know what I should be tightening to?
  10. So stock tie rod ends will Work. Can I still buy laeger ball joints?
  11. The arms are wider than stock, would that mean that the tie rods would be longer than stock?
  12. Thank you for the help. I think my problem may be the wheels. I don't have different kinds, just cotton ones, dunno if they would be considered loose or tight.
  13. Will 3/4 HP suffice? If so, awesome.. If not, how big?
  14. Somebody has to be able to help me here. I just got frame back from PC and want to send these next but I don't know where/how to find the tie rod ends and ball joints.
  15. When you say start over.... Lets say I have some haze.. Is it part of the process to back up after white compound and use brown again and then back to white?
  16. Well I'm an ole boring engineer, so tedious isn't that bad lol and as long as I can get it to come out looking good it will be worth it. I was looking into just buying a bench grinder from harbor freight. They are 3/4 HP. Would that be powerful enough?
  17. How do you Clean it?
  18. Anybody know how to seal or protect it? Or any secrets about that last bit of haze? Or maybe some that looks like hammered asshole comments??? Lol
  19. I was also thinking about doing my t5s.....
  20. What about some rattle can clear coat? I would think it would be to smooth for that tho.
  21. So these a-arms and tie rods were on the bike since I bought it years ago. I'm doing a complete rebuild and powder coating frame, arms, swing arm etc. My problem is that I have no idea what kind of arms and rods I have, and I need to replace the ball joints and rod end.. Please help!! Sorry for the amount of pics and stupid angles.. I really didn't know what yall needed to see
  22. Well after reading through old topics and hitting some folks up on the messenger here, I attempted to try to learn this polishing stuff. It turned out ok, but not good enough. My process was wet sanding from 320 all the way to 2000, then using an air powered dye grinder with a cotton polishing with brown followed by white compound. I can't seen to get that last bit of haze to go away tho .. Does anybody have any tips for that, and also, how do you "seal" it after you finish, because it scratches super easy now.. Thanks guys Before After
  23. Hmmm.. maybe that was that funny smell..........
  24. Aight, thanks for the info. Im going to try all this when I get home today.... Any thoughts on if this could cause that feel of loss of power?
