  1. Aight, ill post one Friday, think its possible to find just one? Also, the pipes are in bad shape, any tips on what to spray or soak it in to clean the inside and stuff out?
  2. None so far. I just wanted to get it together and running before I started spending money on mods. It came with t5s, but its missing one of the big pieces that connects to the motor, header I guess you would call it.
  3. I recently purchased a banshee and all the parts the guy had with it. After further inspection it seems there is only one of the T5 exhaust pipes. The rest of the set is there, its just missing one of the large pipes that connects to the motor. How do I identify which piece I need, and is there any possible way to find just one?
  4. I have a new motor for my first Banshee on the way. The bike hasn't ran in at least 3 years. What are some things to check and do before the motor gets here to maybe avoid some problems when it arrives? Also, carbs are in real bad shape... Rebuild/clean, or find replacements? Thanks for the help.
  5. Yes the back says the same as the front.
  6. Are those good shocks? I gave 300 for the bike how it sits.
  7. Ok.well I picked up the bike lsat night. The motor is in bad shape. The bike needs alot of tlc, and alot of going over. It seems to have some aftermarket shocks and suspension, can anyone identify what kinda parts they are and if they are any good?

    Stock motor

I have a .5mm over piston kit sittin in my car right now.. Can we work something out? I was trying to stick around the 500$ range.. I know thats cheap, but can we work something out? For a banshee newbie who is really enthusiastic and ready to find out what all the talk is about .. pm me if you wanna talk and deal.. im new to the site, and im not really sure how that works yet.
  9. I do plan on some mods in the near future. Im mostly just building a weekend toy, that will look good, and be able to smoke the local bikes. Nothing like serious drag or anything. Fun times and trail rides lol.. The mods I'm thinking are along the lines of air filters, pipes, jets, maybe reeds, looking into this timing advance ive been hearing about on here.. Any recommendations? I think im looking for low and mid range power.. Im new to the world of fast bikes and 2 strokes so I dont know exactly how to get good bang for my buck.

    Stock motor

Looking for a stock motor that is basically ready to bolt on. Im not looking for anything fancy, just something I can bolt up and check the rest of the bike out with why I build up the motor I have that is in pieces.
  11. Hey guys, new to the banshee world. Rebuilding a motor from bottom up, but im mostly going back with stock parts to begin with. Ive been searching the forums for the answer to this question, but haven't found it yet. Is the cool head something I should invest in? What are the pros and cons? And what exactly does it do?
  12. I will upload some pics this weekend. The more I look at the bike the more I think I got a steal. It seems to have an aftermarket suspension front and back.. Im not sure if its stretched out any, but its definately widened, and the " arms" of the suspension look different than stock. I dont know anything thats been done to the bike for sure. The motor is in pieces, but all the pieces are there, for better or for worse. Im sooo ready for the weekend so I can dig into it a lil more.. o yea by the way, I already have the clymer manual in my possession .
  13. Hey guys, I just bought my first banshee last weekend. Its kinda in pieces and would for sure be labeled as a project. Ive never seen, ridden, or even heard a running banshee with my own ears and eyes etc, but I hear good things, and I thought it was a pretty good deal. Im sure Ill be on here asking for more info and help in the coming weeks, but my first question is this: Out of a completely stock banshee, what kind of power and speed am I looking at? I dont have alot of experience with racing bikes, most of my riding has been done on 4x4 atvs. The only thing I have personally ridden is my friend's stock Honda 700. The 700 was pretty powerful (at least to me). Compared to the Honda, how does a Banshee measure up? I guess im basically asking what am I in store for??.. cause I plan for this to be a long and fun project, and I plan to own this bike for a long time. All comments are welcome, and thanks for the help in advance.
