WEll like the title says, It bogs when you first get on the trottle, but after about 1/4 throttle, it runs grrrrreat.. Does anyone have a suggestion? Mods in sig, Im running 310 mains with 27.5 pilots.. about 100ft above sea level. I run 35:1 with 93 octane gas.

Im gonna devote all day tomorrow to tuning it in right. I rode it around the shop today.. Didnt wanna idle, sounded fine but would just die after about 15 seconds of standing still.. also it bogged in first if you slowly or normally got on the throttle.. if got into the throttle early and hard, it seemed to run fine through the gears.. What do you guys think? Ive got 310s in it now, dunno what size pilots.

Aight, so I ressurected a banshee from a 6-7 year hybernation. This is my first bike so im still below the learning curve on just about everything. I want the bike to be well maintained, and almost like new, so that it will last a long time. Heres what ive done (or in the process of doing) so far, NOT including motor and mods. A-arm bushings Swingarm bushing Wheel bearing Steering column bearing? Lubed cables Replaced brake pads and bled brakes New oversized radiator, and high flow water pump Is there anything else that Im leaving out here?

So with the mods in my sig, im running a 310 main, but i dont know my pilot.. i will know it tomorrow when I dig into the carbs. Heres my question(s). Ive been using the search bar and researching plug chops. There seem to be mixed reviews on whether to do them or not. My preference would be to not do one because i never have, and would rather watch someone else do it before i went in there thinking im the expert and try it myself. My bike seems to be running ok I GUESS?? This is my first banshee and ive only rode it for about an hour. The carbs are synced with a sync tool btw. There does seem to be a slight bog in first and second when you just start to press the throttle (like for just a split second). Are there any telltale signs that it may be running lean? What do you guys recommend? Im in Mississippi @ about 100ft.

Can I still wash my bike with a hose after I put these on?

Thanks guys. I have a sweet Alba graphics kit coming, and I wanna do it right. Any other tips for applying and maintaining them?

Anyone know where I can find that spray that allows you to move your decals around before they stick for good?

Ive heard these really help bring the shee to a stop when needed. Is this worth doing? Are they really just a direct replacement, like they bolt right up?

Yea, I figured the title would get some views lol. Luckily I haven't had to post in the rides of shame forum... Yet ( knocks on wood)

Im in the market for a helmet. Ive never bought one before, and was wondering if there is anything specific I should be looking for. I figure a removable liner so that I can wash it is a must... Also, what is a decent price for a helmet?

To make a short story long... About 5 years ago I traded a set of ITP wheels off of a Yamaha Big Bear for a banshee that needed "motor work". The bike had been sitting at his house for two years and was in bad shape. It sat in my shop/storage room for another two, always meaning to start on the project, but never did. 2 years ago I was going on a trip to Europe, and sold it to my buddy for some cash to ... So about 6 months ago I ran into him in my home town and I asked him if he still had the bike. Turns out he did, and his wife was preganant, and he was liquidating all fun assests lol.. I looked over the bike, and started posting topics on here, and reading the forums all the time. Turns out the bike already had some really nice suspension aftermarker parts, and a few saveable parts off the motor. A guy (ZillaFreak) on here sold me a great bottom end, and I had some used cylinders bored and honed. Ordered all the other parts I needed, carbs, filters, jets, chains, tires etc. I kept hearing Jeff at Fast as a guy that was really good with the bikes and would talk banshee with you on the phone. Called him up, ordered some parts, received TOP NOTCH customer service. After 7 years of sitting up, a couple of moments. and alot of today was the day. Got it tuned and synced up and took it down the the air strip out here and ran the piss outta it. Today was the first day I have ever even heard a banshee run, much less ridden one, and now im hooked.. Sorry for the long story, but I thought it was kinda cool... Again thanks to everyone here who helped me out, and thanks to the folks that keep this site goiing, it was a HUGE help.

Today I took the rear caliper apart, cleaned everything, lubed up the piston, and replaced the pads. When I reassembled everything, I bled the brakes properly and now they work great. Thanks for the help!!

How much pressure should it have when i take the screw out.. now it just kinda dribbles out.. when I pump it up, should it kinda spray out?
-
Hey man, don't be a hater.. I have a sync tool, but I don't know how to use it.

Ok well I kick started my first banshee today, and it runs lol. Now what do I do? What tests and checks need to be run? What's the best way to go about tuning in the carbs and throttles? http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid286.photobucket.com/albums/ll112/jgspahn/2011-09-04_21-06-14_310.mp4

I'm trying to get my bike together over the holidays. I was going over the bike and noticed the rear brake was not bolted on. When I looked closer I noticed that the brakes didn't even operate with the brake pedal. The bike has been sitting for a really long time. It has plenty of fluid. I took off the screw on the caliper and pumped the brake, fluid came out, but it just dribbled out, no force. This is my first time with anything banshee, so im trying to give as much info as possible. I included pics of part of the pedal mechanism, I was wondering if the black rubber seal could be bad and causing air in the line. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what else to do/check??

Aight will do. I actually talked to him yesterday, I wish I would have known this so he coulda shipped the jets in the package that he already sent. Anyways thanks for the info and Ill hit him up this afternoon.

Hey guys, the Banshee is coming together, slowly, but its coming. Im trying to get the needed parts so I dont hit a roadblock during the build. What jet kit should I buy that would include the right jets for me? Ive never jetted a banshee before, so at this time i dont know the ranges in which ill have to work. Was just wondering if you all would recommend buying a jet ket, or using ebay and just buying some individual jets. Please let me know some direction to go, and thanks guys for all yalls help.
