If the base material is too soft, then yes, hard anodizing is pointless. ..BUT, if the base material is the proper hardness then the hard anodizing helps. I'll stand by my statement about the steel basket being not only a waste of money, but inferior to a PROPER billet basket in our application. Years of use by 1000's of banshee owners is all the proof needed. The guys behind and promoting this steel basket are trying to reinvent a wheel that doesn't need it. From what I hear mattoon is going to, or has started hard anodizing their baskets. That'll fix the quick wearing. No need for a steel basket. Any hard anodized basket will be superior to the steel one. Sent from a van down by the river

If you can find 2 cheap tower assemblies you can replace them..but I'd suggest just selling them and buy what you need. Sent from a van down by the river

Look at the "dump tube" or needle jet and see if you can tell if it was drilled visually. If you can't tell , you'll have to measure it's I.D. I prefer to use a numbered drill bit set. Sent from a van down by the river

It's very possible that the rest of the carb has been modded for use with alky. If you are running gas, chances are they won't work for you anyway. It's somewhat rare for someone to put PJ's on gas carbs. Sent from a van down by the river

That goes back to preforming modifications that you don't fully understand the ins and outs of.It usually ends up costing more money and time. That's why I always suggest either paying a REPUTABLE builder ...or FULLY educating yourself in advance. either of those options are more cost effective than the "cut/hack/grind" blindly method.
