  1. You THINK it works,,,try this one and post back. > http://ccspecialtytool.com/catalog Fact is ,you are using the WRONG tool for the job and you CANT get it how you really need it for max output with what you are using. Yes you can "port" it some ,,and get some improvements, but especially when you are wanting "wide" power as you call it,thats when you really have to get in the transfers and massage. A dremel WILL NOT allow you to get in there properly. Even WITH the proper hand pieces and after finding the perfect burrs that lcut the shape you need and reach just how you want,,,it takes a TON of time...using a 90* dremel attachment,,,,have fun.
  2. Im all for DIY if you have the time. But you saying you having "all the tools you need" then posting a picture of a Dremel with a R/H attachment is FAAAR from correct. Several years ago (12-15) i tried doing the transfers on my banshee with that setup,,you'll see the error in using that as soon as you try it. I went straight away and bought a REAL r/h hand piece and motor and never looked back. You'll find that it spins waaay too fast and has zero torque. Thats a bad combo for doing detail work. Buy a good Foredom and R/H hand piece and THEN let the chips fly.
  3. Although the Serval is the best fit for him on trails( for aftermarket cyls),im with you on the stock cyls being the better way to go ,,IF you have use left in them. BUT,,,saying the Serval has "great" top end,,im going to have to disagree on that. They really flatten out on top in stock form. Unless you port it,then i would say you'll have what a serval was supposed to be. A great all around engine.
  4. aww man! haha. I wasnt going to waste my time to look if it was a "Micro Lube" or not after his post,,,,cuz i really dont care. But tha tis pretty funny.
  5. free bump for nice tires. After doing some research,i think they are a bit too aggressive for my +6" swinger.
  6. You took the words right out of my mouth sheerider. ... ever since he posted something about using "Z-Max" micro lube or whatever its called,i knew something sounded funky. Like an article out of DirtWheels.
  7. Cool! What did it end up being?
  8. no prob. sorry if my reply isnt making sense. couldnt figure out how to type it .
  9. The splitter area of the cable only has a limited amount of throw/travel. If the adjusters on the carb tops, and the main adjustment up by the throttle housing are not properly adjusted between the two(so that the limited travel of the splitter) ,using ALL the travel of the splitter, they wont open all the way. I doubt its the springs causing the issues here. The springs can bunch up a little when fully compressed ( like at full throttle) but that wont cause whats seen in these pictures. You have to balance the adjustment between the carb top adjusters and the throttle housing (along with the amount of travel the housing allows) to get full opening. Running the carbs the way these pix show is a perfect way to melt down your top end because you are not fully on the main jet,but running on the needle all the time.
  10. What size carb do those filters fit? Thanks!
  11. Used = New!!
  12. HOW did you mod it? Sometimes you have to find an " inbetween ground" so-to-speak between the adjustments between the carb tops and the main cable up by the throttle assembly. I prefer to mod my throttle assembly where it has more travel in BOTH directions (not just pushing it forward) so it will still have cable slack. You also need to check the splitter area and make sure you are using ALL the travel it has available.
  13. You need to mod your throttle assembly.. i have 39 PWKs and get them to open all the way. 35's are easier.
  14. sheesh thats a killer deal for s uper sleeper!! where was this 2 weeks ago before i started my build. couldhave saved at least a grand and had a whole 'nother bike. Great deal!!!
  15. Tell us what you want the engine to do and we can recommend a GOOD builder ( NOT TRINITY!!) who can set you up with an aftermarket cyl kit that is ready to bolt on and go,,,just like the Trinity setup you are referring to. Except this one will be setup properly by someone who really knows these engines and will provide GOOD customer service after the sale. My recommendation is Redline Racing http://www.bansheehq.com/yz-banshee-specs-sponsors.html Just call him and tell him what you want out of your engine and he can do it. No B.S. And prices are WAAAY better than Trinity...plus itll actually perform!
  16. Sounds lean to me. Try middle clip and bump your mains.
  17. Payment sent for cases and Crank..... best 500.00 i ever spent! Make sure you ship it to Redline for me. not the addy on my paypal. Thx man!
  18. Could you post a pic of the bars and adapter? And what bend are they? Thanks Beat me too it by a few seconds. thx!
  19. I know everything ive bought from you was handled in a top-notch manner. In fact ,shoot me a PM as you have time, I need another clutch pusher.
  20. Evan, I shot you a PM regarding testing your stator. After looking at my schedule ,next week is going to be packed with work before our trip. We will be gone for 5 days. So i wont be able to do any testing before that. I thought i could squeeze it in BEFORE we left, but that's just not happening. I would prefer for you to get a good, detailed review instead of the "rush job" id have to do before we leave town. If you don't mind waiting until we get back,i can defiantly do you a nice review,,and would be happy to do so. If you need it before then, then id look into sending the stator to any of the many qualified regulars on BHQ. PM Tyler for any suggestions as far as who would be qualified to give you a fair review. Thanks!
  21. 421 gas, shearer inframes,V3's,UPP intakes. 39pwk ,152mains,55 pilots,DGH needle 2nd richest.
  22. i have a modded stocker. 10.00 plus ship. on the keys, your yammy dealer can get them reasonably priced. Dorman also makes a metric thatll fit. got one before at O'Reillys auto...but id go factory.
  23. So YOU broke your buddies bike,,but you are going to cheap -out and "repair" it half way? haha what a friend!
  24. Thanks for the heads up Big Nasty. sheerider11: Filing a false claim ( like you are suggesting) is one reason why we cant get REAL claims taken care of.
