  1. My buddies 10mil cub from redline has plenty of bottom it is a beast down low and all the way thru its all how it is built.. it runs on race fuel thou not sure if that is a issue for you? He runs 39pwks and shearer pipes I have rode a few cubs and cheetahs and by far it is no slouch anywhere in the rpm range.. that being said my old 10mil serval had more recovery power but no top end after a year plus of tweaking. I built a 10mil cheetah 543cc which seems to be for me (a fat guy) the perfect setup kinda best of both worlds..
  2. I have a ground down wrench
  3. In the coal dust I dont like the k&n filters it always seems like there is coal dirt/dust on the carb bell.. the foam filters seem to stop that I run a bigger foam filter with outer foam filters on mine and it works well for me. In most cases im sure the k&n filters are great but the coal is like baby powder when it gets dry. That being said most of my buddies run k&n with out any problems I guess the little dust I see dont mean much? Just stay clear of water and you will be fine.
  4. I am very happy with the way both my topends run I have had many conversations with people as to what will and wont work so I was ahead of the game as far as trial and error.. but in no way was it cheaper than sending it off to someone, the time it takes and tooling is more than the 250-600 for porting would my setup be better if someone else did it?? maybe so but as it is right now after its first trip it will hold its own with the guys I ride with so I was more than happy.. I will be trying a few more things with my domes and I want to actully tune it in I'm sure there is a good amount of power still there. bottom line if you think you will save money dont waste your time if your afraid you will wreck a set of cyl dont do it cause there is a good chance you will the only reason to do it is if you enjoy it and want to have the satisfaction knowing you did it.. bottom line

  10. I just do 2 little heat cycles on it 10-15 minutes, check head and case nuts if all is good ride it like you want then.. just make sure you warm it up before you hammer on it I like to idle mine for a few minutes then putt putt for a few just to get heat in it before riding.
  11. I would think 260-280 main 27.5 pilots would be a good start. Maybe your going the wrong way. Both of the carbs opening the same and synched?
  12. I think he meant does the packing difference make more power

  14. It may be just the pic but that is a very odd looking dome profile? Almost looks like fron the squish band to the bowl is a straight in cut? Am I correct or is it the lighting in the pic.
