Brand new Fireball -1 swing arm
ride.race.live replied to coops03shee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
yea sometimes they will check the package and yea.. most dont mention anything about the fee's as thats usually paid out by the receiver and done at the border. I know Fedex offers some kind of set up to where they can charge the shipper the fee's upfront but not sure ify ou have to be an account holder or what not. (prob not worth your while just doing this one shipment.) No stress on it non the less.... Claude is well aware he will get brokerage fee's... its to be expected when getting stuff shipped from the US... USPS tends to process too many packages i guess to bother going through the whole brokerage process so most of the time we get parcels with 0 surprises which is nice. Non the less there's not much "extra" for the shippers in the US to ship to CAD or else where , if im right just 1 additional declaration form. Usually the front desk person guides ya through it so there's no delay or issues. There's other small loop holes ect that I usually request when getting shipments but I have not bothered in the past esp with guys that weren't sure on shipping to CAD in the 1st place. Non the less claude got a rockin deal and its always nice to get guys that are willing to take the little extra time to ship over the border! -

USPS is usually always the way to go for sure.. but Fedex has done me good but the trick is having it set up and select the shipping method that includes the brokerage fee's upfront. and not done once at the border. For some unknown reason it seems when the item gets priced on brokerage / customs AT customs the fee's are usually unexplainably high for no damn reason. Pay the fee's upfront and its usually reasonably priced to the actual cost of the item and not some cracked out customs agent trying to jew random people. UPS is the god damn worse... 150$ for item and shipping.. end up with 150$ in fee's at your door lol -

OMF, DWT ect all make their own version of a beadlock rim. The Baja's are not beadlocks their just re enforced rims with a ring welded in place -

A bit of grinding is involved too for that 14" of travel.. nothing major though -
Def nice bike.... those are the best shock guards you can get IMO! doesnt wear out the spring or hold in crap!
-
hahaha mint.... I will have to say though the locking system on the tusk is BY FAR supperior then the others with the normal lock nuts.... ive always had problems keeping them tight until my tusk.. never had to re tighten it... mind you i only got about maybe 8 hours on it lol
-
Ahh thats a downer!.... but it goes for most companies... you have to be the original purchaser and go back to the same shop... I am a bit worried for myself even seeing I went through wildcard for mine and went through them to get it warrantied. Ive ran LSR, durablue X-33 ect.... ill stick with Tusk anyday.... not much difference if any... and ive bent them all lol.

You know the only real big down fall to the 24V cummins was that they went and fucked up putting a fuel pump in the motor bay which was hard on it which caused it to fail then fried the injectors due to lack of fuel pressure / cooling. Once you threw in a in tank fuel pump or a helper in tank pump with the oem one the things where more so bullet proof.

Where ya been Fappy? you havent been back in a long time... but I would just like to remind you.. if you're still out there somewhere...
-
awesome... good to see you pulled the trigger on a good set up for suspension. Just a small FYI, If those shock covers are the cheap ones that have no "fluffy" padding or what ever it is inside lining you may want to remove them... they will wear out the PC on the springs in no time and make them look like crap / rust. Also its good if you only install them during use and remove them when its parked so they dont hold in water / dirt ect...
-
To keep things short sweet and to the point..... There's been previous repeating issues mainly focused in the head work done on certain builds not working well with the porting done which end up causing odd issues like the bike falling on its face mid power band, bogging under load ect... 1- Do an air leak test, this should be your #1 on the to do list. 2- verify your squish on the head...
-
LOL sheerider.... Do yourself a favor before spending any kind of big bucks.... Check your squish if you didnt already.... or even better yet, Try and see if you can get a loeaner stock head (uncut and un molested) to test out and see if it cures or improves on how the bike run. Youd only be about the XXth motor to run into some kind of trouble that ended up with a head/dome issue.... ill leave it at that..
-
I bought one of their full kits, used anti seize on the 1st initial install as they recommended .... its been YEARS that ive had these bolts on my bike and have yet to have ANY issues with them. ive also used plenty of the left over bolts i had with the kit for VARIOUS other bikes with 0 issues.

Gusto... my buddy also ran these tires (canadian company) They are super durable to date ( he did a lot of road with them) and they had great traction all around... the website linked has other options as well + free shipping within Canada.. http://atvtirescanada.com/traxion-racer-xc-tire-html.html

ive always found there's too much tire flex on 22" rears. always ran 20's.

my personal prefference has been kenda's. my fav all around tire has been the kenda klaws
