  1. another guy invented something that sounds good but does nuthing, the guy who invented four strokes, LOL!!!!
  2. hmm, im gonna fix all of the stuff that needs to be done first (axle, bearings, plastics, lights, u get the picture lots of work, lol), then ill probobly look into the crossover tube. 80's yamaha dirtbikes had boost bottles named yeis (yamaha energy induction system), that helped with low end, how come it doesnt give you throttle response on the banshee's, and wouldnt they have stopped selling them by now if they were useless?
  3. i dont have the stock crossover, whats it made out of, rubber? could i make one outa fuel line?
  4. huh, my shee came with one, whats bad about them?
  5. hey zilla, i just took the left wheel and hub off, then removed the axle nuts with a pipe wrench and a blacksmith hammer, and i think i do need that axle and hub of yours, pm me with the price and details, thanks.
  6. wow, hope hes better. so the ball joint blew apart, and caused him to not be able to steer? crap that sucks.
  7. thanks for the help, im going to wait until the bearings get here to even take the axle out then im gonna see what exactly needs replacing, because im gonna do the bearings just to be safe. btw i already have the grease fitting mod.
  8. ill have to check out my axle first, but im hopen its the hubs, not the axle although that would kinda suck, cause they were powdercoated dark red and looked pretty sweet. after i take off the axle ill get back to you about the stock axle and hub, thanks zilla.
  9. shit..... that sounds pricey, how in the hell do you even do that to an axle?
  10. lol, my friend did the same thing on his 86 250r, he was bombing threw the trails, and water went threw the hole where the snorkel should be (250r's have a really exposed snorkel), and every part in his engine pretty much was trashed. on the plus side he got it bored to a 310, and totaly rebuilt.
  11. the play is rotational, does this mean my axle is bad and not the bearings, because i dont think theres that much play in the axle at all. btw my carrier is drilled and tapped for a grease fitting, so i dont think the bearings would have gone bad that easily, thanks.
  12. the bearings dont actually have that much play but my sprocket and brake hubs are moving, so think theyre done. i think the bearings are original so this might be kinda challenging, but i really gotta get a set of axle wrenches, right now ive got nuthin.
  13. ive done wheel bearings on dirtbikes before but just never on quads, im not sure how confident i am about this, my friends say all the bearings theyve had to do they had to grind the outer bearing ring out because the bearings blew up. i also dont want to trash the bearing carrier.
  14. my banshees disc brake hub and sprocket hub move back and forth like a half of an inch which i find quite alarming. my outside facing axle nut is missing most of one side, im wondering if the problem is in the axle bearings or the nuts, i tried a 15 inch ajustable wrench and its still to small, so i dont have anything to check the tightness with. im thinking if i should buy axle wrenches or do the rear bearings, and if so how easy is a rear bearing job, ive heard horror stories about warrior bearings and they use the same kind of adjustment system. thanks for the help.
  15. ill have to look for the box, but the extra carbs are missing one of the idle screws, and theyre broken, theyre more for parts. what will happen if the box isnt removed, and why in the hell did yamaha have to put tors on in the first place, no other quads have them?
  16. hi, i want to run no lid on my air box, but i noticed that the air filter isnt held on right without it, and dirt can just fall into the air boot cause the filter is just floppin around without the lid to hold it in place. what can i do to fix this or should i just slot the lid with a box cutter or something.
  17. i personaly like the look of the stock lights, something about them screams dune buggy, like it was ment to be out in the sand dunes, but thats just me.
  18. ah, this cleared up a couple things for me, the previous owner put a tors eliminator kit on my shee, but there are no idle screws, but there are on the extra carbs he gave me, does this mean my carbs need to be drilled and tapped for idle screws, because my banshee wont idle unless i take the slack out of the throttle cable. one more thing, is the air screw the one next to the air boots?
  19. just wondering how good are the stock lights for night riding, cause im gettin a set (none right now) if it helps id be trail riding.
  20. im getting a set of 94 lights which im pretty sure have the glass lenses. i ride with a lot of people some have bikes that throw fist sized rocks, so i dont know if id want to take the grills off of them. so i can just got any style connectors and make them work?
  21. just wondering, im in the process of buyying used stock headlights, i was wondering how good they are for trail riding at night, and what type of connectors were used on the early style, i have a 93 banshee, thanks in advance.
  22. hmm, i might be intrested once i get the rest of the stuff for my banshee, what do they look like?
  23. i have a 1993 banshee and the previous owner needed better shocks so he put yfz450 shocks on it, this is an economical fix that many people do to banshees, although your shee will stand a little taller in the front (like an inch) so this could be great if you ride trails like me. btw mine has the stock banshee a arms on it, so you dont have to take the old ones off as far as i know.
  24. yup, i got the email, they look sweet.
  25. hey nastyracing, i sent you an email, let me know if it got there, thanks.
