  1. Hi guys, i finally rebuilt my whole engine from the cases up, and after putting it in the frame, i noticed its pretty hard to start, the only way i get it to fire every time is to squirt a little gas down the carbs, and then itll either run or stall out in a bit, it sounded like a fuel problem to me, so i made sure the petcock was flowwing, and i took both carbs apart for a second time, and cleaned them out with carb cleaner and an air compressor. i double checked that the slides were in the right carbs, and my bike has the tors eliminated and no tors box, so this is really puzzling me...
  2. thanks guys, cause i did a frame up rebuild on my banshee and when i put the engine in i couldnt for the life of my figure out where the coolant overflow line went lol, i didnt know if it went some place special or not, lol. honestly how effective is the stock banshee coolant overflow tank and how much does it help, because i go on all day trail rides riding in places where the shee could easily overheat, should i run it or forget about it?
  3. Hey everyone i finaly got my banshee motor rebuilt after a complete split the cases tear down, and i put it together. as of now my jetting is Pilot: 27.5 Main: 260 Clip: 2nd from the bottem. My motor is freshly febuilt and all stock except for +4 timing, boyeson power reeds, a 3x1 hole in my air box lid, no snorkel, a motofast 2 into 1 pipe and silencer, and a hot shot cdi box. im pretty sure the 260 main jet is good, but im not sure wether to run a 25 or 27.5 pilot jet, and im also undecided on the clip 2nd notch from the bottem (richer) or the middle position, 3rd (slightly leaner). any help would truely be apreciated, and i know im gonna get flak over the pipe, but i have no money and for 70 bucks i figured anything would be better then a stock system on my fresh rebuild, lol
  4. lmao thank you again nasty, and looks like i have two things off a 94, the headlights and tank cover, one of which is johns, lol even for stockers the lights are pretty good because theyre the earlier glass lense ones instead of the plastic lense ones which arnt as bright
  5. my petcock isnt clogged, it flows freely when the line is disconected lol, and the bike has only been run for about two minutes, that was the first start on my rebuild from the cases up thats why im being super cautious lol, cause i really dont want to trash my new engine. i really dont think running the line uphill could be good for the engine, so im gonna have to try and find another way, what do you mean by behind the barrel and away from the boost bottle, kubis21? thank you guys.
  6. his name says it all, gummie guy, hmmmm.... and LMAO savage never fails to crack me up
  7. the vent line is not clogged, and there is a boost bottle on it (ik start laughing but i dont have that much money so ill get a stock balance pipe when i can) and the way the boost bottle is it means i have to run the fuel line upwards for a bit to clear the boost bottle, ik people run boost bottles on their banshees, how do you run the fuel lines so that theyre all downhill? Pics? help me, lol this is just plain old annoying.
  8. i just put my banshee motor together and in the frame, and i put on new clear fuel line, and when it was connected with the petcock you could see an airbubble and it wouldnt reach the carbs, but i took it off the carbs and stuck a funnel in it and poured gas in to start my engine, what could cause the gas to lock up, i tried taking it off multiple times...
  9. Hi guys, i put my engine back together and i bought a case saver just for extra protection lol and i thought all banshee case savers accepted up to a 15 tooth front sprocket, but the modquad one doesnt, which i really dont like cause i wanted to run 15-41 gearing now my question is will a stock size 14 tooth work? is there another brand of case saver that would work with a 15 front? im not sure which route i wanna go yet
  10. lol matts the mad scientist of the suspension world, his work always amazes me
  11. The 94's were blue and yellow like yours, the 95's were my all time favorite year and are true purple and yellow, i think its the sickest looking scheme for the banshee and if i ever get the money thats what mines gonna look like, mines a 93 with an 01 front fender, 94 tank cover, special edition radiator cover, 95 seat, and 95 lights, its just a mix of parts cause im broke, lmao
  12. i did the conversion because the a arms and shocks were given to me for free, but i want to get yfz spindles too, do i have to run yfz hubs with the new spindles? i want to use the 450 spindles because with the stock spindles you risk blowing apart a ball joint and killing yourself.
  13. ive been wondering about this too, i know +1 arms help, i just didnt know how much, but i guessed the banshee would benefit from it more because most of the wrecks you see on banshee jumps is from the nose going down and they flip forward
  14. okay, about how much is a set of yfz spindles? i really dont want to spend a fortune but i dont want it to come apart and wreck me and the quad
  15. i dont really have the money for new ones so i should probobly get the yfz spindles and new bottem ball joints right? do i have to run 450 brakes with the new spindles?
  16. Im rebuilding my banshee and i had free 450 a arms that i put on, i just want to know if the a arms are likely to have the ball joints blow apart from the extra stress cause that could really be bad in some of the places i ride if it makes me lose control
  17. do any of you guys know about OMF skidplates? i know theyve been around a while, but because my graydon proline nerfbars have u bolts i want to run their skidplate that covers the engine, just not the a arm area of the frame, because then i wouldnt be able to run my nerfs, its basicly an engine only skidplate, but it looks heavy duty.
  18. im thinking about trying the tusk bulbs also, my bikes an oldie so it has glass lens and the right one is cracked, dimming it some still though, even the stock banshee lights were a huge improvement from single crappy lights i used to ride with on other bikes, the banshee has one of the nicest lighting set ups, and with bright bulbs i think it could be really awesome lol
  19. Hi, i did a complete rebuild on my engine including switching the tranny into a set of 2001 cases from a BHQ member, and after i had it assembled i noticed the shift fork rods are open out by the sprocket, but the old 1993 cases had metal plugs in these holes, how do i get them out and put them in the new cases, any help would really be apreciated, thanks guys.
  20. Hi guys, i was cleaning my reed valves before i put them in my new motor, and i noticed that both sides left and right have the same light green upper pedals on the top and bottom, but the lower pedals on the right side are see through clear, and the lower pedals on the left side are the same green as the upper pedals are. this is pretty wierd, i was wondering if these are stockers or what, because i dont think theyre carbon, they look more like fiber reeds cause theyre see through, and would this be bad for my engine, probobly right?
  21. just ordered 300 bucks worth of misc. small parts to get my shee together after 8 monthes of sitting, hell yeah!

  22. Wow, sick build! my motor sent a rod through the cases and cylinder, so ive been slowly rebuilding the whole quad lol, while its apart i did the whole yfz450 A-arm and shock conversion so i havnt gotten to ride it yet with them, but how do they feel compared to stock? thanks
