  1. lack of aftermarket supply?!? the 250r is the winningest quad in history, and pretty much any part made can be bought for it, what are you talking about? and the atc 250r is still very legit, most engine parts are the same as the trx250r, and there are still a ridiculus amount of parts around and being made.
  2. my experience is that youll never get tired of an R, keep it, it can only increase in value, and it will always be more reliable then a 450, no 450 will be in that shape in 20 years... long live the R
  3. its startin to look badass, good job. my shee's got a while, plus the engine died, lol.
  4. the comp. reading may have been off, because that is what a new banshee would read. i'd do a topend rebuild, pistons, rings, needlebearings, gaskets, etc. i'd also repack the silencers and put a new clutch in it. a slipping clutch, a worn top end, and misc. other things can really add up, it just takes a while to make a big difference. i'd also do the topend as perventetive maintnance, not just for the power gain.
  5. someone from honda probobly is trying to get it to put in their museum in japan. there was a section on that 250r still in the crate in the latest Dirt Wheels. ive always wanted one of them, the only problem is once you buy it, youd never want to ride it, so it would be like buying artwork, you pay 50,000 bucks for something to look at... id still love to own it though...
  6. just bought from 91 again, and as before the items were better then described, and packaged to protect against even the worst ups employees, great seller.
  7. hey, im i need of a complete or mostly complete bottem end, first id like to know if the crank is good and in tolerance, second id like to know if i could get the bottem end complete. thanks, pat.
  8. this looks badass, since almost every part on a banshee motor interchanges with the RD350LC, you could make a monster of a bike!
  9. LIM hooked me up with some cyilinders and a head at killer price, packed it to withstand a nuke, and is overall a great guy to do buissness with.
  10. how much do 22's affect handling, ive only riden 1 or 2 quads with 22's (everyone ik runs 20's) and it was a craptor 660, lmao, all i have to say about that is tipsy, tipsy! how many of you run bark busters? my friend has them on his 250r, but idk how much they help on a quad. i ride alot of trails, but since im doin a build i wanted to see what you guys thought could make it better.
  11. correction, what i ment was i like leaving the back fender as is, and cutting the front fender, it makes it look alot wider, and overall badass
  12. thats badass, its got that cool oldschool look to it, what kind of pipes are those?
  13. if you have a tors removal kit, you need to disconect the tors box.
  14. about 65-70% of my riding is serious trails, and im redoing my shee, so id like to know a basic setup that doesnt break the bank. i wanted my shee a little wider so i did the yfz450 front end conversion, and the a-arms are a tad lower, so ill probobly need skidplates for those. also i came across a great deal on a 2 into 1 pipe and silencer, so i got it, and i know alot of the gncc riders from the late 90's early 2000's ran them, how good are they for woods? what size back tires, 20's or 22's? thanks for the ideas.
  15. listening to elka is like watching a monkey with a handgrenade, everybit of you wants to watch it, but at the same time all you wanna do is run, lol
  16. the only mod my basket case of a banshee came with was a boost bottle, lol, go figure, but i dont think ill bother replacing it, as long as nothing is prying it, i should be fine.
  17. i think cut rear fenders only work on dune or drag bikes, anything esle just looks dumb
  18. For gods sake, dont change the plastics/graphics!!! that may be my favorite banshee on the site yet, its freakin badass, yet oldschool cool.
  19. i just did the conversion, and all i need to do is get the tie rods, everything installed really easily, and looks wide as hell!
  20. 91tsiawd is a great seller, the parts were packaged really well, everything was as described, shipping was fast, and prices were great, great guy overall.
  21. i have the parts to do this conversion at my house, im just wondering, how much do you have to cut off, where do you cut it (i think on the out side of the mounts on the lower a-arms, right) i think one of my a arms was already modded for this, but the other isnt, any info would really help, thanks.
  22. im pretty intested in this, how much HP does it make on a completely stock banshee?
  23. the dmc stuff looks and sounds good but from what ive heard, the chrome lasts about as long as a bacon burger in a weight watchers meeting.
