  1. since your aleardy doing a new air intake setup, i like the 2:1 toomey setup, you will have to get rid of the air box so that will be more air flow. plus foam is more reliable than a paper filter. and the 2:1 is some what unique and different
  2. the stock carbs will work great with your setup. awesome lowend. the bigger the carbs, the more top end wich means slightly less bottom. but more fuel means more power. i you want bigger carbs just by a bigger set. ebay works fine. if you are only wanting a little more than stock the 28s will be awesome. slightly bigger than bored out stockers. or even a set of 30s? but we just upgraded the stockers to 33s on one of our other banshees and it has been running just as strong as it had before. ported piped bore 80. over cool head 2:1 toomey intake. ran like a beast. so its up to you if you think you are wanting bigger carbs or not
  3. form what i know the t6s are the best for stock port and mild mods. and besides, i would bet if you take your bike to a builder they could more than likely port it for the pipes. keep your t6s
  4. i would think if you are that low then you should be around 280 - 300 mains. that would be a good starting point
  5. i honestly like the original holeshot fronts. they look like they have awesome traction and look awesome
  6. fatty is a more all around pipe. the gnarly is more of a low end pipe if you have questions like these, the internet is an awesome source. i just got this info from fmf web site
  7. i have a cousin who runs them sometimes, but he switches back and forth between them and some out of frames that idk what they are. but he is pretty much no where near stock so i guess. he only runs his FMFs when there are sound restrictions along with spark arrestors so idk
  8. would they be restrictive? concidering bore along with all of the porting and other mods? if not that would be pretty cool. being able to blow past another guy with a set of FMFs haha
  9. they are like the boost bottle unless you are using them for clearance
  10. hey. i was looking into the modified heads and was wondering if they really make a difference and if they would be better than spending the 150- 220 bucks on a cool head with 21 -20 cc domes on pump?
  11. colder air is more dense so colder air = more air. more air = more fuel. i wouldnt think you would need to go up to high. maybe one jet size since you have a few mods and all.
  12. cheaper and and works fine. if you think about it, the silencers are glass packs like on a car. they use plain insulation and steel wool in them. so i would think that almost if not any type of insulation would work in it. just get a tight enough pack is all.
  13. itp holeshots. they are an awesome all around tire. for trails, the HD'S are the best for trail tires by the company so
  14. well i guess it is time for a rebuild i guess.
  15. was it running a little lean? either by your own jetting or was there an air leak that you didnt know about? did you let it warm up properly before taking it out and start ripping on it? those may have cased it to seize. also check your cylinders when you get the chance. depending on how sever it is all you may have to do is hone it and drop in a new set of pistons. also check the crank and make sure it is ok. make sure there is no warping or anything wrong with it.
  16. definite power loss and insanely loud. damn near too loud
  17. my brothers trx250r has a bills pipe. they are ancient like the fmfs. they are an awesome low to mid pipe and offer excellent power in general. never seen them on a shee but would love to
  18. you can buy the jey kit from toomey. it is a perfect jet kit for a pipe only bike. get their needles for the carbs to, they are a noticeable gain and get you even closer with your jetting
  19. the toomeys last forever and i would believe flow better since it is still completely open. plus...... only one filter to clean. oh and another plus. only one filter to take off to get to the carbs during tuning
  20. you have to run it before you know how it really runs. it runs slightly different when under a load. and you rip on it and make sure it is solid all the way through the rpms. no bogging and its not rapping way out when its not supposed to
  21. what kind of power gains do you get out of a big bore compared to other mods like a 4 mill stroke? i dont want to steal this thread but it just got me wondering
  22. probably. what were you doing running without a filter??? i understand if it was still in the shop and whatever. but ya i would clean it out
  23. it couldnt have been good for the cylinders but you said it seems to run rine at idle. i would say to go up a jet size in the mains
