  1. Hi guys I also need some input on this please!! Going 421 serval with 35mm carbs, vf3 reeds, pods and either cpi's or shearers. I'm at sea level. What would you recommend for the jetting?? Thanks!
  2. Yes Larry is a standup guy, I bought some pro circuits from him for a very nice price and he didn't overcharge on the shipping either! Will buy from him again anytime!!
  3. PM Sent.... Ps.: Are they small bore, small flange?
  4. Hey guys! I want to get some new fatbars for the shee.. Which fatbar would you opt for between tag, pro taper and renthal? and why??
  5. Well I'm looking at the mattoon machine billet basket which can be used with a 7 OR 8 plate clutch and a driveline HD clutch with heavy springs
  6. Hey Donkey how are you man?? Jugs are running great by the way.... But after riding the serval - sheesh! What a machine! haha, those old jugs are now going into the wife's banshee after I finish building up this motor!! Ok, so a couple of guys on here are definitely sure that I can run without lockup and override. In that case...Will a 7 plate clutch be enough? The mattoon machine billet basket can be run with a 7/8 plate setup, but as I understand het you'd need a different inner hub to run a 8 plate clutch? Am I correct? I know this is a lot of money, but I know one guy is running this setup - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Banshee-RZ350-Hinson-Billet-Basket-Inner-Hub-Pressure-Plate-8-Plate-Clutch-/350502613483?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item519b9571eb#ht_1608wt_1163 - What do you think?
  7. Thanks Magget, you don't even run a billet basket or hd clutch??
  8. So you'd recommend a override on a trail motor?
  9. Thanks loco, I just need a couple of guys' personal experience with the serval before I order from whoever. I want to make absolutely sure I buy the right stuff and setup the serval for full potential.
  10. Please tell me more about your setup dirtydownunder!
  11. And that's the reason I don't want a lockup. 2 stroke spirit has a slingshot lockup in his 7mill. Thanks for the replies so far, any other input would be dearly appreciated!!!
  12. Hi guys! I recently bought the 421 Serval package from Andy at M&M.. Now I want to start buying the rest of the parts, but seems like there's a problem around every corner. I trail and dune (which is what this motor is meant for as far as I know). I'll give you a list of what I want in this serval: 35mm Pwks with 6" 10deg K&N pods intakes ???? honestly don't know which intakes to go for vforce 3 reeds HD Clutch - I was thinking driveline... don't know if it will be enough Billet Basket - I was thinking Mattoon Machine Shift star mod Drum shift mod At the moment the pipes I have are dmc 916 and pro circuits (I know it will probably hold this bad boy back, but I don't intend on porting it right now) I run 22" dirt tires so will try stock gearing first, but I'm considering 15/40 - any recommendations welcome. Now my problem is the whole shifting dilemma. I honestly don't want a lockup. I've read here that guys run servals successfully without lockups, please share with us how you do it. I recently rode a 7mill serval with a lockup and I don't want a lockup, neither a override. The owner says he can't run it without the lockup. Will it be able to shift under load or shift while keeping the throttle pinned. I've spoken to a few guys on here, but I know there's a lot of serval owners out there! Please any critique and recommendations are more than welcome. I live in South Africa and don't want to import the wrong parts as it gets really expensive. So I need to buy the right parts the first time! Thanks guys
  13. Awesome, stand-up guy!! A real honest seller here guys. Packaging was excellent and he goes through any kind of trouble to get a package the best/most economic way possible! Parts are exactly as described. Will buy again from him anytime without hesitation!!
  14. Well if your crank is not busted you can just get it welded and replace whatever else is needed. But if you want to port it and get it setup correctly with a hd clutch and either a cut stock head or coolhead you can seriously consider going 4mill. Building a 4mill is only going to cost you the crank extra. Which will run anything from $300-$450. I'd say most guys on here with 4mills haven't looked back. Just ask a few! The porting and other mods are going to cost the same more or less. IMO if you have the extra few $$ laying around I'd go for the 4mill.
  15. Yo Thack, so glad you replied with that post. I'm thinking the exact same combo for my 421 serval. Don't want a lockup and I'm thinking of this driveline clutch - http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-BANSHEE-DUNE-TRAIL-RIDING-HEAVY-DUTY-CLUTCH-KIT-/290615478151?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item43aa084787#ht_638wt_1163 Hope it works well
