when installing the shorter studs into the cylinders should they screw down so that threads are completely imbedded? I screwed them in using two nuts and it feels like they are bottoming out yet 1-2 threads are still showing.
I've seen a few on here with flat black plastic and like how it looks. To get that look do most use paint? Can i just sand the gloss out of my black plastic with a fine grit paper and leave it that way?
i just took my springs off painted them with krylon plastic paint in many light coats and re-installed. i bought a cheap strut spring compression tool from harbor freight and rigged that to compress the springs then just took the retainer off
I don't know what size hex wrench you need but most people just get a 3/4" bolt from Lowes or Depot and 2 nuts. put the nuts on and tighten them against each other then use the hex end of the bolt to turn out the retainer with a wrench on the nuts. Or if you have a welder just buy one nut and weld it from turning.
crow canyon, bear creek, atvskool, wellsville to name a few places. bunch of local riders go to ohiomafiariders.com to meet up with other riders hit me up sometime when snow melts
i just put in new stem bearing and swingarm bearings last month. used all balls for stem and pivot works for swinger. both fit fine. i bought them seperate cause it was a little cheaper

i assume your in ohio? if so there's a guy on ohiomafiariders.com selling a nice banshee, it was just listed yesterday. you will have to sign up as a user to see it but no cost to do so.
I've also seen a bunch on craigslist for a better price than that one. there was one in north royalton for $1300 for a 1998 mostly stock.
ASR sells those cheaper on ebay. Bought 2 of them today for my rebuild http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ASR-Yamaha-Banshee-Heim-Ball-Joint-Pivot-Pin_W0QQitemZ360232885167QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_ATV_Parts_Accessories?hash=item53df8d9baf
