  2. i read the entire post on jetting with everyone's specs, very helpful. I've jetted my yfz a bunch of times but this is my first banshee. So i would like to get a couple suggestions for starting point cause I didn't see any indication how cool head affects jetting. Here are my specs. 1)FMF Fatty's w/PowerCore Silencers 2) K&N 2-1 filter 3) Stock box no lid or snorkel 4) 600 ft 5) Pilots??? 5a) Needle??? 6) Main??? 7) 60-80 Degrees 8) No porting 9) What kind of carbs? Mikuni 10) What size carbs? Stock 11) Cool head w/20cc

  9. when installing the shorter studs into the cylinders should they screw down so that threads are completely imbedded? I screwed them in using two nuts and it feels like they are bottoming out yet 1-2 threads are still showing.

  11. I've seen a few on here with flat black plastic and like how it looks. To get that look do most use paint? Can i just sand the gloss out of my black plastic with a fine grit paper and leave it that way?

  13. looking for set of prodesign cool head studs that are not marred or gouged. dont want to buy new from ebay if i can
  14. i just took my springs off painted them with krylon plastic paint in many light coats and re-installed. i bought a cheap strut spring compression tool from harbor freight and rigged that to compress the springs then just took the retainer off
  15. Need some +2 tie rods. Will consider used or new, pm me if you have some to sell. I saw some on e-bay but wondered if aluminum would be too soft.

I don't know what size hex wrench you need but most people just get a 3/4" bolt from Lowes or Depot and 2 nuts. put the nuts on and tighten them against each other then use the hex end of the bolt to turn out the retainer with a wrench on the nuts. Or if you have a welder just buy one nut and weld it from turning.

  18. i just put in new stem bearing and swingarm bearings last month. used all balls for stem and pivot works for swinger. both fit fine. i bought them seperate cause it was a little cheaper

  20. i assume your in ohio? if so there's a guy on ohiomafiariders.com selling a nice banshee, it was just listed yesterday. you will have to sign up as a user to see it but no cost to do so. I've also seen a bunch on craigslist for a better price than that one. there was one in north royalton for $1300 for a 1998 mostly stock.

  24. i don't get it this is the 2nd or third part out in the past 3 weeks that sold as a complete unit. do all of us a favor and don't post the add until your sure its actually a part out.
