  1. Zach, I got your PM and I'll reply in a little bit. I've got a lot of catching up to do!
  2. The 300% is what I was talking about. I just bought it about 2 weeks ago from powder warehouse. It's no better than the patented chrome from pbtb. I'll shoot a piece tomorrow so you guys can see what it looks like.
  3. Powder Chrome looks nothing like chrome, if you are expecting that. Jason had alf do a bunch of his stuff, and it came out terrible. Not shiny at all. I have a few lbs of "chrome", and my PBTB 100% gloss silver is almost exactly the same. Consider "powder chrome" = "Silver". It's not much more than that. If you clear over the top of it, it looks a little better, but don't expect it to be "chrome". Sort-of polished aluminum is the closest thing I could compare it to.
  4. Shayno! You are the king of clear! You better patent those, otherwise someone might end up copying you...
  5. Abrasion is really the only EFFECTIVE way to get rid of anodizing. Sanding, blasting, or wire-wheeling. Strippers are 100% ineffective on anodizing. I wish I would have seen this thread sooner, I could have told you that that aircraft stripper won't do anything. I've tried PRETTY much everything out there to strip anodizing, as I do it almost every day. Blasting is the fastest and easiest way to get rid of it.
  6. What is your weight and riding style? I might have a set of dual rate non reservoir works that would work for you. They will be freshly rebuilt, fresh powdercoat on the springs, and polished. Let me know if you'd be interested.
  7. What is the name of the shop? There's some TERRIBLE shops down in the south bay area... You made sure to stamp your cylinders and bottom end with a unique number somewhere before you dropped them off right? I'd be willing to bet that you will NOT get your original parts back...
  8. Seems pretty pricey for this area. I would seriously consider contacting Kevin before you commit to that $850. I think you could get a straight rebuild with a crank done for $450-500 easily...
  9. I was just reading Kevin's site, and it looks like he offers a rebuild for only $300, with a port job. Get a dune port from him, and the rebuild, and it looks like it'd only be $600 bucks... I hope I'm reading that right.
  10. Some people around here thing 20ft jumps makes you a "Pro FMX rider"... Just ask them. I'm sure there's 1400 threads that they've started around here proving how badass they are. Anyways, as far as going back to stock, that is all personal preference. If you were happy with the way the bike was performing before, than I say just keep it stock. Are you replacing the crank because it NEEDS to be replaced? or just because that's what the shop told you? Prices for repairs are going to vary by region, but I would strongly suggest sending your motor to one of our site sponsors. They all specialize in Banshee motors, and I can almost guarantee they will be cheaper than a dealership. You will get a proven product, and the best customer service anywhere. I see you are in San Diego. Call Kevin Herr from Herr Juggs racing. He is in Encinitas, I believe, and has an extremely fast turn around time, and does incredible work. 11. I guess I'll be bringing a box of Black Talon's then...
  12. I agree with Tyler. I'm leaving the motorhome and enclosed at home. I'm just rolling out with the suburban and flatbed. queen sized air mattress in the back of the suburban, and locking doors with an alarm to keep me safe from all you homos.
  13. Hey Joe, are you guys going to make it out to the dumont night drags on the 11th? Should be a good time. Myself, and two other sponsors will be out there. It'll be a good opportunity for all of us to meet up.

  14. Hey chuy, I just thought about something. Send an email to john at JL engineering and see if he can powdercoat those for you. He's just up in apple valley, I believe. That would be way better than paint... Just a thought. Btw, you going to the night drags at dumont?
  15. I got 74 results by searching "serval", including the two threads that M&M started, with all of this info in it... I guess the search function works for me. I think maybe you guys don't know how to use it.
  16. I used Black VHT Brand paint on my old pipes, and they held up great for over a season until I got rid of the bike. It was rated to 1200F and never discolored, peeled, or anything. BBQ paint is also rated to 1200F and is available in a gloss black, that several people have used with great success.
  17. I just got the game... It's installing right now. If you have ps3, add me. "sheet_eeter"... Don't ask...
  18. ...you said it... not me...
  19. Is it wrong to HOPE that the HQ goes mainstream? Mainstream = More info = More knowledge = Less stupid questions asked. (hopefully)
  20. Jaymes, Are you going to be out at the Dumont night drags again this year? I will be out there and would like to meet up with you guys.
  21. I was GOING to say, I'll be wearing my HQ sweatshirt, but it's gunna be like 100... I'll be in a white Suburban with an LED lightbar on the roof... With the A/C on... and a cooler in the passenger seat...
  22. I've never used those bars before, but I believe most people use the standard riser. The anti-vibes, from what I've heard, in conjunction with the flexx bars creates a "spongy" feel.
  23. I didn't get past this part before I almost fell out of my chair laughing... I also didn't waste my time reading the rest... :rotflmao: I'm sure it was filled with "blah blah blah, overpriced, blah blah blah."... and probably quite a few curse words that are pure comedy.
