  1. Jones as well, only because I don't like machida. If the match goes any distance, jones is in trouble, though. His conditioning sucks more dick than Tyler after two Zima's. Machida, I feel, has better leg work, and he's going to run jones all over the fucking ring and jones will wear out easily by the 2nd. But, seeing as how the UFC is turning more and more into WWE, I'm sure there will be some ridiculous upset decision bullshit like the last 4 UFC's... I get pissed every time I pay $54 to watch the fights, and it ends up being a bullshit decision that makes no fuckin' sense...
  2. I understand where you are going with this, but I think you're going about it the wrong way. The simple answer is, no. None of the suspension components off of the YFZ will fit on the Banshee frame without modification, especially the rear suspension. The 450 rear swingarm uses a completely different style pivot tube, and if I'm not mistaken, the chain alignment is about 5/8" off. Simply replacing your rear swingarm, and shock with parts off of an 05 YFZ isn't really "updating" anything. It's more of putting different shaped parts on there, doing the exact same thing. The technology used in the YFZ450 shock is identical to the technology used in the first shock used on the banshee in 1987. Nothing has changed. Not the seal head design, piston design, valving design, etc. Nothing. I've pretty much made my argument against using yfz450 suspension on Banshees, so I won't repeat myself, other than to say it's not a great idea, and I have seen very few actually work. The reason I'm telling you to not even attempt, is because this has been tried, and failed at, thousands of times. I get phone calls every day from people trying to make the stuff work, and they end up just throwing it away and buying the proper stuff. IF you get it to work, it will still be substantially sub-par to even the bottom of the line aftermarket equipment available for the Banshee. Again, I cannot stress enough: Don't cobble together a bike. I personally don't feel that it is safe, nor cost effective in the long run. None of the components are "bolt on", and everything will require modification to some degree.
  3. There really is no purpose to using any of the 450 rear suspension. The stock banshee shock is almost identical internally as far as valving and piston design.
  4. 250 for dual rates isn't that great of a price. I ALWAYS tell people to expect the shocks to NEED servicing. A complete rebuild on those shocks would be $169 shipped, including parts, for the pair. You'd be into them for $419. If they are in like-new condition, than I'd say 250 is a relatively reasonable. On Works shocks, it's not uncommon for the nitrogen bladders to burst. Those are another $18 each. Bushing kits are $18 each per end, so two per shock. In all reality, if they are in rough condition, and you paid $250, you could be hurtin'. $250 - Shocks $169 - Rebuilds $36 - Bladders $72 - Bushing kits Total $527.00 That doesn't include powdercoat, to make them in "like new" condition. That being said, if the bushings are in great shape, spring powdercoat is in great shape, and they are EXTREMELY low hour shocks, $250 might not be THAT unreasonable. I'd offer $200 if they are in phenomenal shape without knowing their history.
  5. That'd be like taking two nascar drivers and throwing them into a trophy truck, and saying, "whoever wins the baja 1000 is the better driver". Also, I may be wrong, but Tyler already won nationals, I believe, on a borrowed 450 that he had never ridden before.
  6. I think it would be cool to have a grudge match, but isn't that what the circuit is for? I'm certainly not going to donate my hard earned money to a pissing match. The results of the series show who would win, and tyler's already got enough of my money. Aren't mattoon cases alone like 2500?
  7. I remember being 18...
  8. It was 35, in the random picture post.
  9. Haha. I really wish I had a bike to put them on.
  10. I really like those wheels.
  11. Big G is right. From what I've been told, Skat Trak actually takes old used tires, and turns them into their paddles. They shave them down, then vulcanize paddles on to them. They'll cut your old paddle off, and vulcanize a new one on.
  12. Fixed it for you.
  13. I'm not sure what state you are in, but it never hurts to call the sheriff's dept and have them run the vin. Be ready, though, if it comes up hot, it's gone. So if the bike's assembled, I wouldn't call them... lol. You can try stamping the frame with the numbers you have on the BOS, but I would find out who the registered owner is, first. If he gave you a BOS with a clean vin, that someone else owns, and you go try to register it, you'll be McFucked.
  14. Cam left out an important bit of info, too... He's not exactly petit. 90% of cooling issues are relating to jetting, and people think it's some sort of issue or a flaw in the cooling system. Unless something is physically clogged, the banshee's cooling system is MORE than adequate.
  15. Cool heads allow you to change the dome size, changing your compression.
  16. Hey James. These are the kinds of threads I said not to start. LOL...
  17. Not so much which is why I asked. I'm generally pretty good at translating, but that one was pretty tough for me. Anyways, to answer your second post: Yes, that is normal. You don't typically ride your bike while sitting on the bumper, which is why the front end doesn't spring back 100%.
  18. I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. If the shocks are soaking up every bump and hit like it isn't there, they're doing their job.
  19. what was the temp at your house? Try to richen up the pilot a bit... if you don't have anymore pilots, you can kinda cover it up by moving your needle clip down one... also, check for carb sync.
