  1. Sand is one of those things that can demolish a motor in a short period of time... If it were me, and this was a brand new motor, I wouldn't risk it... You could probably pull the other cyl off, fill the cases with gas or I've heard you can use diesel, turn the crank over a few times by hand, and dump it out... do that a few times and I think you'd be okay... Then again, all the pre-lubed parts on your crank would no-longer be lubed...
  2. Sorry, sometimes I take it for granted that everyone knows about these. Those shocks initially were designed to be used on the front of a Volkswagon Beam front end, and would often be pressurized for 1500psi, or more. These particular shocks, I'm not sure what they were built for, but regardless, I wouldn't even turn down a shock that us pressurized to 500psi for cosmetic reasons.
  3. I'm kinda glad they sold too... Hopefully not to another member on here. I'm not too sure I would've turned down a 1500PSI grenade on a lathe.
  4. Yeah, would a crank that is 3/10 out even seat in there? That's almost 1/3 of an inch... that's nuts...
  5. +1
  6. Pics, now... Also, in hindsight, would you wear a helmet next time?
  7. 10-4.
  8. Oh got it. I've used the Turtle Beach one, and it was pretty good sound. Just be careful, because they break really easy. If you accidentally sit on it, or step on it, it's done.
  9. Hey Joe, do you have any pictures of the cylinders? If they're not too bad and you want to sell them let me know. I have a few friends looking for some low-bore stock cylinders.
  10. I just use a Motorola Jawbone for my PS3. I've heard nothing but bad things about the PS3 bluetooths.
  11. It was in a different thread. It was a goodie. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=148950&st=0&p=1285322entry1285322
  12. I kinda re-read my post, and it sounds like I was saying all NY people are stupid. So, sorry if I offended anyone. I actually like NY. I could never live there, but it's a cool place to visit for short periods of time.
  13. Your bike has 79 HP right? Shouldn't even be remotely close at 79hp.
  14. Just saw this thread. RRL is pretty much right. I have currently have two different lights in various stages of prototyping and testing. Both are 10w, 1000 Lumen LED's and use different style optics. They will be "generally" the same shape and style as Trail Techs. The key to LED's is all in the optics. Both lights will use a glass lens, rather than the garbage plastic that is currently on the market, so no hazing or fading of the lens. That has been the most difficult, costly, and time consuming part of this process. My LED's are the brightest available; Almost exactly 3x as bright as a 35w Halogen bulb (Stock Lights). I was just in contact with an electronics manufacturer the week before my surgery about building me a driver to be used with AC current. It's not 100% yet, but it looks like it's something I'll be able to do cost effectively. My goal is to have these tested, and off to UL by mid January. Generally it takes UL about 3-4 weeks for their rating, then it's into production. My light bars took about 19 days for the UL rating. They will not be "cheap", by any means, but they WILL be cheaper, brighter, and better looking than competitive lights. The LED world has been something I have been dabbling in for quite some time, and this is something that I felt was an absolute necessity in not only the Banshee world, but the ATV industry all together. With my lights only drawing 10 watts, and under .8 amps of power, you have the ability to run 7 of them SAFELY on the STOCK stator. That's 7000 lumens of visible light. For comparison, two stock lights put out roughly 700 lumens. 10x the light, for the same amount of power. I'll keep everyone posted, but as for now, I am not going to be posting any pictures until all testing, UL ratings, etc have been completed.
  15. I did some research for a post on the BansheeHQ facebook (Great entertainment, btw, if you're not on there...), and came across a few of the dumbest ads I can honestly say I've ever seen... Is this a common occurrence? I see plenty of nice bikes on there, but there are an ungodly amount of ads that are awful. We'll start with exhibit "A", which compelled me to make this post. http://newyork.craigslist.org/brx/mcy/2752422491.html Be sure to "kall" him about his wheelie bar Exhibit "B" http://newyork.craigslist.org/que/mcy/2750183735.html First ever 1mil Hot Shot crank? Finally, Exhibit "C" http://longisland.craigslist.org/mcy/2753858171.html This one stood out because of the amount of spray paint used...
  16. Coil springs are just coiled torsion springs. As you compress a coil spring, it actually "twists" inside of itself. This is a basic principal of leverage. The shorter the torsion spring, the less material there is to twist, thus creating a stiffer spring. duh.
  17. Just FYI, those "high power" LED drop in mr16's are DC only, and put out less visible light than the stock 35w halogen lights. But they look better.
  18. I directed him to a set of elkas.
  19. I replied to your PM... YFZ shocks aren't worth even 100 bucks. They're junk shocks.
  20. Excellent advice right there. All the cool kids are doing it!
  21. Tyler, you're not my idol. When will you get it through your head that he's flat out better than you. How many of your record times were set on your old 10mil? And just to clarify, wasn't ONE of that dudes wins over you because you crashed?
  22. Pm me the serial number off one of the shocks.
  23. Did I read options are limitless? Let me know what your method of payment will be, and I'll ship everything next week. Freestyle on an ATC250R? I think we all just got trolled.
  24. Tyson, Odds are it did indeed seize. What kind of premix and what are you mixing the gas at? Also, I'm not sure if you are aware, the "oil" you changed was not engine oil. That was transmission fluid. What did you replace that oil with, and how much did you put in there?
  25. Listen here, tough guy... I watch UFC, but I don't engulf myself with MMA... It was more of an attempt to find a way to say you suck tons of dick after two Zima's. I just think Jones underestimates machida. But I think machida has a sumo background, which SHOULD give him the upper hand on the endurance aspect. I still think Jones will win, but machida is fuckin' fast, and hits hard. He's going to run jones around, but I think machida is going to slip up in his stupid ass running around, and jones will get him to the ground. Jones has a MUCH better ground game, I feel, than machida. Machida belongs in the same shit-hole that Anderson Silva does. They run around, tire their opponents out, then get a fuckin' cheap ass shot in.
