  1. I loved my sand stars... I've ridden on just about every front sand tire... Worked the best, hands down. Mohawks are nice if you have to ride on asphalt for a little while before you get to the dunes, like at LS, OK...
  2. There aren't too many options that will be cheaper than YFZ shocks. You will find, however, that YFZ shocks will be softer than stock shocks. I've always found that stock banshee shocks make the bike ride like a brick shit house, and most people want a softer shock. If you need something heavier, you're going to want to look into aftermarket. Works AT Steelers are your cheapest option.
  3. The moto4 was one of my first quads... I started out riding 3 wheelers until I was about 6, then got an 87 Moto 4 80... Personally I think the 87's looked better. I had the red one, and my best friend had the teal one. He had gumby strapped to the front of his. I gotta find some of those pictures... I even had paddles on mine... shit kicked ass. $975 is pretty expensive... I've seen a few on craigslist around here occasionally for 400-500. I'd like to get another one if I can find it... Nostalgia... I'd hang onto it until I had kids.
  4. Did Grizzly Adams have a beard?
  5. Not only did you bump a thread from 2004, but you bumped a complete bullshit story, too...
  6. He was omazeen.
  7. I'm digging the ohlins rear shocks on the back...
  8. I loved my Vapor. Never had a single issue with it. I ran BR8ES spark plugs, and followed the install directions. Everything worked flawlessly. I ran a 10AH battery, that I didn't have to charge for 2 seasons, but you can also use a regular 9v battery. Just carry a spare with you. Seems like most people who have issues with them use a different type of spark plug.
  9. What is the reason that it no longer has nitrogen in it? In my experience it's because the shock leaks. I have a buddy who needs one for his drag bike build, but I'm a little leary that it leaks. If it does in-fact leak, would you take it back?
  10. Yes. Any other questions?
  11. I was JUST thinking the same thing, but: "Friends bike". I dunno
  12. I would just lap the key... Lay a piece of 600grit wet/dry sandpaper on a genuinely flat surface. Drill press table works good... and lap it until it's flat again. It might take a little while, but it'll eventually work. Keep the sandpaper wet.
  13. TECHNICALLY skeet is a verb. If he would have said Skeeter, that would be a noun... Just saying.
  14. I'll just post in here. My 10w LED lights draw .86A each. 950 Lumens, and are about 3x as bright as stock lights, or traditional Trail Tech lights, and only about $25 each more. They are $99ea, shipped. You can get an 18ah SLA battery on eBay for about $40 shipped. The 18ah would run two of my lights for approx. 10 and a half hours on a full charge. For most people, that would be an entire weekend trip. My LED's operate on 9-50v, so you may even get a longer than 10.5 hours run time. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-18Ah-Sealed-Lead-Acid-SLA-AGM-Replacement-Battery-/270913680203?pt=US_Batteries&hash=item3f13b6b34b
  15. Pot calling the kettle black.
  16. You're kidding, right?
  17. You're* Sorry, just helping out.
  18. Told you guys...
  19. The best way I can describe it, is imagine a 4 legged table... The further out the legs are from the center, the more stable the table will be. This translates to better better balance, and handling.
  20. Guys, just relax mmmkay.
