  1. I'm in Orlando right now... post your address... I'll kill you.
  2. Buttercup IS pretty cool. It's too small for us guys with the sand cars, but from what I was told by my buddy who works for the BLM, buttercup may or may not be open for riding in the next few years. I guess they're considering closing buttercup, and opening up certain parts of the closure between glamis and gordons right at Patton Valley. It's just a rumor at this point, but that would open up some awesome dunes in Patton.
  3. Nevermind, I got a 24" Rhyno one on eBay for $48 shipped.
  4. Long story short, Joe bought a sweet looking rear caliper from Rubber-Check RIS Designs, and it failed, he bashed into a concrete wall and smashed up his ridiculously nice bike.
  5. Just to let you know, I bought my 2005 with similar mods and parts for $2800 in Canyon Lake, but mine had aftermarket suspension. I've been watching prices lately, and I would honestly say that $2800-$3000 is a very reasonable price to expect right now, in this area.
  6. Wheelie time... I love the one or two days a year that glamis gets rain... sand gets choppy as fuck, but makes 3rd gear wheelies in the car easy...
  7. Says the guy who buys taco rear calipers... Sorry buddy, I had to...
  8. What are the dimensions of the box?
  9. x7 on his hoses... half the price of the ugly "crinkle" ones that RMATV sells...
  10. Damn, looks like you lost quite a bit of ride height; which on a Banshee, equates to a loss of wheel travel. We just had a pretty in-depth discussion about these arms in the Shoutbox. Thanks for posting the pictures.
  11. Oh, hi neighbor! kidding... I don't know that I would swear off a place because one group of people were dumb... lol. If that was the case, I'd never leave my house. I like Gordon's now that I have a sand car, but if you have a bike, and want to go see any of the cool shit at Glamis, you better strap a gas can to your back... I consider glamis and gordon's two different places because they are so far apart, and completely different people like you said. Buttercup also is cool, cuz you can ride right down to the border fence, and literally you never see other people.
  12. Contrary to the image they portray, Roll Design is a VERY small company. I believe at their peak they only had 4 employees. The address on their website is merely an office inside of an office building. I don't know where their shop is, I couldn't find it. They are less than 15 minutes from me and I've never seen anyone in person. I do a lot of business with Roll, and it IS common that he's out of the shop, especially on Fridays. They do a lot of racer support, and when it's pretty much a 1 man show, it's difficult to be everywhere at the same time. I had a similar issue regarding some Elka hard parts that I needed on a Friday. It wasn't worth it for me to deal with the mentally handicapped people at Elka, so I utilized Roll Design to get the parts I needed. He was out of the shop, but she did a good job getting a hold of him and get the part shipped out to me. I'd call back on Monday and give em hell... and get the goddamn address of their shop for me... lol...
  13. It makes me sad every time I see those heims being used on arms...
  14. It will sit VERY low... Even with the longer YFZ shocks, and the YFZ a-arms, the bike sits lower than stock. You will be extremely low... pretty much like you'd see flat track bikes...
  15. The mounts are the right mounts, but still need an eye to eye measurement to tell you if it will fit. The stock rear shock is 13.63" eye to eye. You can safely go up to about a 14", or 14.25" shock without any issues.
  16. Gunna need more info than just YA-2118. YA-2118 is a generic platform used to build literally hundreds of shocks... Do you have pictures of it and measurements?
  17. Junk junk junk. There's a dude on the BansheeHQ facebook running those shocks, and he wants 6500 for his turd.
  18. That's nuts. It was the same way at LS in Oklahoma. I never understood why they have an "entrance" to the dunes, and charge you 10 bucks a day just to touch the sand. Here, we pay 90 bucks for the year, go 365 days, day or night, whenever you feel like it. I've never heard of anyone getting a DB ticket, and they CERTAINLY don't charge to camp. We really have 3 rules, that's it. Whip, helmet, don't be drunk riding/driving. That's about it...
  19. What a crock of shit... How the hell do drag bikes run out there then? You probably have to pay to camp, and pay to use the dunes too, don't you?
  20. WHAAAAAa? Spark arrestors and decibel limits? Are they afraid you'll scare the lizards, and burn the sand?
  21. Yeah, all it is is a stock banshee frame with an aftermarket sub... He makes a big deal about the lights not coming with it... I can't tell from the miniscule pictures, but they look like regular trail techs to me...
  22. I never recommend cobbling together a front end. Stick with the proper length shocks, and do it right the first time. The only reason I told him he's not going to find an aftermarket shock cheaper than YFZ's is because YFZ shocks sell for $75 all day long...
  23. Don't go more than a +4 if you wanna wheelie... +4 is probably the most common around here... some going up to a +6. I'd say get a +4, and be done with it.
  24. Do you know a guy named sloryder?
  25. Or just watch old movies, like Legend of the Wild.
