  1. I tried for an hour last night trying to post some bigger pictures but wouldn't let me. I will try again shortly. I built the bike but know the owner at Cascade and have it on consignment there for exposure sense they seem to have pretty good luck selling 15-23k banshee's across the states.. Thanks
  2. Have a custom built banshee that was built from the groud up last winter, including new refreshed motor, new bearsing, seals, gaskets, cables, breaks, sprokets ect.... 10 mil 71mm bore mini billet. 125rod twister billet crank, 39 pwks, billet intakes, V-force3's, lock out, straight cut gears, shift pro, CPI reverse stamps with show chrome cascade silencers. fresh powdercoat, fresh paint including custom painted plastic and painted switch, fresh chrome, 99% of all billet allum has been triple plated show chromed. New custom rated and rebuilt shocks all the way around. +10 lonestar swingarm, JJ & A axle and cust out wheels, cascade cutter up front, 12 paddle super lite in the rear, new saw blade brake rotors all the way around, over 1k in custom on of a kind fram mods including 3-piece removable subframe, braided brake lines, chrome brake calibers, powder coated cases, the inside of the dog bone, foot pegs, ect. Complete bike down the nuts and bolts is fresh as of May 2009. I have over 30k into this bike. Bike is on display at Cascade Innovations. Can also view it on there web site at www.cascade-innovations.com under banshee's for sale. Bike will be in the 2010 Sand sations calander. Been tuned by Twister, runs great and is a great all around dunner. I have 4 banshee's and want to focus on my drag bike and now with the economy the way it is I just need to get rid of some toys. Price is firm at 10,500. Not in any hurry to sell and if it don't then I'll just keep it. Know its a lot of coin with the way things are now but you are truely getting a lot of bike. Can compare some of the bikes on Cascade's web site that are for sale for 22k and this bike is just as nice if not nicer and more of a unique bike. Thanks for your time and happy dunning!
  3. Any more news on this?
  4. 22x11x8 all day long! I would go with a 72 roll out . This tire will help you stay out of the ruts, grab traction, great for dunning, tree shots, drag racing ect ect... I have these tires on all 3 of my banshee's from my play bike's to drag bike. I would go with a 22-11-8 10 paddle extreme super lite, (maybe a 12 paddle) just depends on set up.
  5. threre are alot of factors to take in conderation. Bike set up, Bike weight, Rider weight and rider skill ect ect.... If it was just motor to motor and no considering any of the other factors then I would say the banshee. But if the 250r is set up right in a chassis and lighter then the banshee it might take ya. But there's only one way to find out! Good Luck man
  6. PM Gobigorgohome on here, I think he will rechrome used pipes I beleive for a good price. He is a great guy to deal with. But for the most part, as said before, a lot of guys don't like to mess with used pipes because they can ruin a dipping tank. I wouldn't worry about flaking, you should have no problem with that. I'm pretty sure FMF doesn't chrome there pipes from the factory, they nickle plate them and they don't last and do not clean up using polish, atleast thats my opinion.....JMO.. Good Luck man!
  7. If you like the Monster drink theme then do that and don't let anyone tell you different. Yes its been done more then once but if thats what you like then who cares. $500.00 budget is gonna be tight so I would look into painting the parts your self oppose to powdercoat. I would also look at painting your plastic by your self. A little paint goes along ways. Then maybe a custom seat cover from Cascade Innovations, They make monster drink shock covers, just have to look around. wrap a monster can around the rear shock resivor, I would paint the hubs, frame, spindles, shock springs, brake and sporket hubs, If you wanna do something different do a all black and monster green instead of the traditional chromed out bike. paint the plastic black and maybe the arms, swingarms, footpegs, rims ect.....use your imagination man and have fun. This is what I would do if I had your budget and was doing a monster theme, cascade seat $100, paint supplies $60, shock guards $40, Monster graffix $80,monster grille $100, Monster bar pad $20. Good luck man!
  8. I would just spend the $95 bucks for a Ibach spring and put it on your stock shock, that is what I have on my play bike with a six over swing arm, I'm 6'3" 290 and it works great for the dunes. I also send a shock out to works to get revalved and reworked and it was over $500.00 not including powdercoating the spring or polishing the shock, In that case I would just spend a couple more hundred and get the full billet work shock. The eibach spring works great for up to a +6 swing arm. Who ever was talking about the gearing 12/44 or what ever is super and I mean super low. I think my ATC 70 would have a faster top end speed. I have a 13-41 on my play bike, its a 5 mil stock cyclinder with 12 paddle ultra lite tires, I run stock gearing 14-41 with the 9 paddle super lites I have, and that is plenty low gearing. Hope this helps. What tires, swing arm are you running? And style of riding you do plus were you ride also would help figure out what set up you need. Thanks and good luck
  9. Anything is dunnable, just depends just what you intend to do. As you said before, you mainly hillshoot. I don't know were you ride but here in oregon in you rid the trails or tree shots, the wide stance of OOF's might be and issue with hitting tree's, And tabs have been know to break due to vibration, but some rubber gussets can eliminate alot of the vibration. If you want the most out of your motor then go OOF's, you can learn how to dune it. But if you plan on getting a little rowdy when your dunning it then try the Shear Inframes. IMHO, both the shear inframes and out of frames have a light switch powerband so as far as that goes I don't think either would matter. On the dyno I have used I have seen the OOF's produce a little bit more HP then the inframes depending on the set up. And the Sheares seem to produce more then the CPI's. I have heard great things about the RDZ, even that they produce more then the Sheares and CPI's but have never ran then so not sure there. Good Luck Man!
  10. I have two 7's and one 12, none of them leak, I believe direct drive went to a 12 to get more pressure on the plate to reduce the chance of leaking, I have never had that problem and if I did i'm sure its not something some silicone or a new o-ring couldn't fix. Go for the good deal!
  11. maybe you can get an address and we all can write letters. Shoot, I'll write a letter everyday.
  12. Is this meeting open to the public?
  13. Well hopefully there will be some Duners there to make there stand to who ever is in control weather it be the city, county or forest service. We need to make them understand NOT to buy into the tree hunggin motha F-ers wants and look at the big picture. I think once enough guys go down there including business owners and make valid points like the effect on closing down more dunes, they might think twice. Florence is about half what it used to be 15 years ago anyway, before long there isn't gonna be much left. But I've been riding for 25years and have seen these debates come up plettly of time's. Hopefully we come out of top.
  14. This is pretty upsetting.... Not only has the sport completly exploded in the last 10 years but they still continue to shut the recreational areas down. In this economy I can only wonder if they will know what kinda of further damage this will do to business's not only the tourist towns up and down the oregon coast but for big company's like all the bike manifacture's and dealerships, like skat track, fox, yamaha, honda or even bike shops like cascade, white knuckle, topdog, redline,....ect. They need to realize how much revenue we the rider's bring in that keeps people jobs. I bet if they keep closing down the dunes people are going to lose interesest. That means no one is going to buy bikes or build or fix them. know one is going to buy that nice 80k toyhauler, Knowone is going to spend hundreds of dollars in race gas or gorcery's. Knowone is going to visit these tourist towns while down at the Dunes for gas, lunch, drinks or whatever. Sure There are other attractions that attract tourist to the little beach towns but besides fishing I can't think of another sport that beats Duning. I didn't even mention that park rangers, police, camphost's ect. might loose there jobs. In an economy like this closing the dunes is absoluley lutacris. The effect that it will have on the economy, especially Oregon's economy will be far more vast then just shutting down a few dunes. You already can't find a camp spot during the summer unless you reserve a year ahead of time and the sport keeps growing and growing ....why? Because its a very popular, fun sport. The state, county, city or who ever needs to take advantage of this opportunity where people are still spending money to ride and camp and open more camgrounds. Just think of all that revenue at what 15-25 bucks a night a campspot and there packed all summer, spring and fall long.....I don't know about you guys but i spend alot of money in this sport from the toyhauler, to the bikes and not only do I support a lot of bussiness's in my hometown with my spending but when I go to the beach, they also get a pretty penny for things like gas, food, parts....ect, and I know I am not the only one. Do these people really think we are going to continue to spend that kind of money for a sport we can't enjoy when all the dunes are closed. It will be like Sandlake with all of florence's, coosbay's and winchester bay's campers, a complete parking lot with one hill....Next thing you will see is Oregon's unemployment rate at 20%....Here's an idea, with all the revenue we bring in, why don't we build more campgrounds, putting people back to work, open more dunes, attracting more people to the sport which will only earn the county or state even more money along with making bussiness's money and putting people back to work.....ok....I think I typed out my frustration......time for a beer.
  15. Does it come with the a-arms, tie-rods?
  16. Any idea how far it is stretched out front? Any better pics of the nose?
  17. There's a trick to put them on. spread the clamps with a screwdrive or pliers when you slide them on. I have them on three of my banshee's, they look and work great!
  18. bike is on cascade-innovations.com web site under banshee's for sale if you guys want more details....Will be in there showroom soon!
  19. any race shop should do it. I know Cascade does it any way you want it!
