  6. My opinion, unless you're doing some sort of racing, stay on gas. On a single carb setup, defiantly stay on gas. You can't leave alcohol sitting in your bike after riding like you can with gas. Each day of riding you need to purge with gas afterwards.
  7. You burn about two times the amount of fuel with alcohol. But, you gain horsepower.
  8. In Kansas city I buy it for $3.50 a gallon by the gallon. A drum is cheaper.
  9. Hell, I would probably meet you half way. I'm going to take it to little Sahara for snake hunt next month just to have a dune bike. If I don't sell it.

  15. X2 for sure!!! Until yesterday I hadn't ran a banshee since the October HQ ride and matter of fact, I didn't even turn the gas off. It started on the first kick and ran great.
  16. This is how I take the crank nut off. It may not be right in everyone's eyes, but it works for me. I place a penny (1 cent) where the two gears mate up and let it hold the pressure while hitting it with an impact. Do this before you take anything else apart on the clutch side. It's worked 100% of the time for me and has caused no issues on the parts involved. Do it at your own risk though.
  17. I have a 660 motor with second gear problem. It's a 2001 that I bought new. Never taken apart and 100% complete. Pm me if interested.
  18. It's all about horse power. Haulers, extremes and rippers. If you run under 100 hp, stay with extremes. Tires will rob HP if you can't turn them. That's a fact! 4 mil 10 paddle, 421, 12 paddle, maybe? 10 mil, maybe rippers if you spent big bucks on a motor.. After that, good luck. Try them and see what works best.

  20. J J and A sells a nice carrier adjustment tool. Fits snug and doesn't tear the holes like a screw driver or squared thing do.

  22. Does the stators or flywheel have any signs of rubbing each other? I had a guy bring me one that had a a bad crank bearing that allowed the flywheel to hit the stators. I run a ground wire from the coil to the motor. Just a couple thoughts!
  23. I just shipped a bottom end and cylinders in two separate boxes for $38. I used usps and it went from Kansas to Wisconsin. It's the cheapest rates I've found.
