  1. wow! That's impressive, but I dont think I will get away with that small of jets, considering last time I went out I was running 320's on a stock stroke/cylinder. With no porting whatsoever, and I was still running a little on the lean side (pending the time and temperature of the day).
  2. just wondering where abouts were you at on your jetting with the stock carbs. i will have around the same setup but with inframe shearers and just wondering where i should start?
  3. i use bars that lock the sockets onto itself by simply spinning them. and they have magnets on the bottom, so the bars stay in place if needed and also are portable and you wont loose your sockets
  4. i believe the proper quotation would be "when in doubt throttle out" just saying!
  5. tell them to keep the motor, im sure you can find a used one for less then that
  6. Ok guys im in need of a stock left upper a arm. i bent mine and need a new one. i looked on e-bay and they are outrageous so i was hoping to find one cheap. doesnt matter what color but would prefer silver. thanks for any help
  7. ak is right on in this one. i had the same problem and it was just my tors still plugged in and my idle screws and throttle cable adjustment just needed to be adjusted. not as big of a problem as it seems. good luck
  8. alf, how much for the crossover tube shipped to 95726
  9. talking about rigging some shit up to get through the weekend. That's exactly what i had to do this weekend. I bent my top a-arm right at the ball joint. Did I let that ruin my weekend? HELL NO I bent it back and strapped a wrench on the top of the arm to help keep it from flexing up again. Got me through the rest of the weekend and still had a great time. Hey shit happens
  10. Haha I said the same exact thing when i saw that post. funny shit
  11. Nope u didn't ruffle my feathers at all, I was actually laughing at the whole thing. Still am to be honest. No need to be angry over some friendly racing and over what somebody I don't even know say's. Not worth it, we all had a good time and that is all that matters really. And I just watched some videos we have from the weekend, and we have video proof of her beating the white and blue 7 mill by a good amount. MPH does not matter in a race, unless it's a top speed race. Sorry Only thing that matters is ET, who gets from point A to point B the fastest. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
  12. First off the 7.3's are slow, even chipped and built with a built tranny. Not to mention the ride is crap, it's all bouncy, and I swear the steering on those trucks are like 10 turns lock to lock. To me they just feel crappy all around. As far as tranny's go, I think you can have problems with all of them. My dad had a 2001 ram with 200,000 on it and the fucker never had any problems. Body was solid, motor of course ran strong, and even the stock tranny was still pulling strong. And those were all hard miles, as the truck was always loaded or towing. I personally have had to tow two chevy's both with the allison in them because there "bulletproof" transmissions went out. So in reality all will have ups and downs
  13. Wow those are some harsh words there. Just for your info that was her on the white and purple bike, which happened to be one of the fastest bikes there, if not the fastest that came out. And that bike also beat the white and blue one which you said looked pretty fast. But if you think you are so fast pull your stuff out and maybe others will do the same. At least they raced instead of looked at the bikes in the trailer. Just saying
  14. I would have to say first off dodge all the way. But to be fair, if you are looking for comfort but still want a truck for some work go with the chevy. Hands down best ride, chevys always have a good ride and nice interiors. Ford only if you want shit tons of interior space, but that's about all they have going for them. And last but certainly not least, if you want a truck to be a truck and actually handle ANYTHING you throw at it, get the dodge. You can not beat the cummins motor PERIOD. MY .02 Let us know what you end up with.
  15. Anytime I have a bad weekend in the future I am going to think about your weekend, and realize mine was not to rough. Damn dude that all sounds like a really shitty time. Hope you get everything fixed up and don't end up having another crap weekend like that the next time you go out. Good luck
  16. Ok first off let's try to put in just a little bit of proper grammar in there, so that way people can actually read what you are trying to say. Thanks
  17. Damn that is all bad. My inframe shearers are still holding up nice, i hope that doesn't change now. If you do throw those in the dump then I hope I am around to pick them up out of said dump. LOL. Good luck
